Deliveries will depend on many things. Couriers usually take 48 hours to come down.
We were informed 9280 is out of stock until probably 29th June. For the NP9850, they will only be able to fulfill preorders only.

That means I have to wait till 29june before it arrives or is it 29june + 7days before it arrives at my doorstep?

Yes. Sorry about that. You're in their queue. The webcam has also changed from 3M to 2M and there is a $10 price drop for this. Well also add 3 days build time just in case.

I agree, because I think even my 17" is pretty huge, but trailers for movies and games seem much, much more vivid and detailed on my Cintiq, which is a 12"er. :(
Whereas the 17" seems too pale and the resolution nitpicks on the pixels of the trailers.

But who's complaining? The specs inside are awesome :p

Awesome on paper... let's see how the 280M fairs @ 1920x1080 (or is it 1200) in modern games :D

bc9488, that's the problem with buying such niche items... if u're interested u can read my NP8662 review. In it I described how long mine took to arrive from USA to SG.

Yea, patience is the key to success... but its kinda hard to contain the excitement and anticipation

Btw, is it better to use external keyboard and mouse,? Heard that it would bring the temperature lower.

sad that i've to wait till next year then can change...

btw , there are rumours that notebooks with 250M/260M GTS will be available in the next 2 months.

lets hope that sager offer 260M GTS in NP8662 as a lower version of it...the difference between 260M GTX and GTS is...half the power consumption....

Yes it will be true... Sager's trend is usually to wow the audience with heavy-duty new-fangled extreme-end machines while quietly sneaking in the mid-range to low-end upgrades into the respective models..

Or maybe it's that people just ignore the low-end and mid-range line of Sagers when the real deals are usually just beside them at the expos.. :p

For example:

Anyone noticed the NP8662?

Please, let us know of your config and purchasing/waiting experience! And get some pics up! :) Is it a Sager or an MSI? Or a Zepto?

The 2096 and 2098 aren't as distinguished as the 8662, though they're at pretty attractive price points. Their graphics solution is used in other competing notebooks.

The 8662 IMO is in the sweet spot. Good price of $2.5K with a very fast card to boot. The next up is quite a bit more expensive, and a notebook with a 15 inch screen is as heavy as I care to own without needing it as a desktop replacement.

Personally, I'll be buying an 8662 or the next iteration in the series, but only in Nov this year when my current gaming notebook using an 8600M GS expires.

Agree with Wzierbovsky, looking at all the Sager laptops I found the NP8662 to be at the sweet spot of price, size and performance. With the specs of even the basic config it'll handle all the 3D games today with ease.

Clickade, if u want to maintain this thread as the Official Sager/Clevo thread, u might want to clean up the OP to include all relevant Sager info (eg include my review :), maybe add a list of owners) and ask a mod to stickie this thread.

For me the whole appeal of the Sager is power, power that most laptop companies don't give, eg Lenovo, HP, Dell, at a reasonable price. If u're willing to compromise don't go Sager.

Now that's an idea... I will go about doing that ASAP..

Thanks.

:)

EDIT: As soon as I get out of Microsoft...
