Nope... I mean I got the latest update right after the fourth froze... I'm now using the latest firmware... I8250DXJH1... My suggestion is, if your phone dun hv freezing issue then dun update 1st... Just let it be... but if your phone froze... Then your only choice now is the newer firmware as all Samsung service center now is using the new firmware to defroze ya phone... I'm not sure the new firmware is better or not... But I do feel that it's a bit speedier than before... Maybe I'm wrong... Let see if there is other owner who upgrade n comment...

Agree.

u can choose not to update but do note IF it freeze, all your data will be gone after u flash to new firmware.

Thanks, again.

Suggest that you put on hold till more updates from those who had upgraded ;-)

Thanks for the tip.

My Beam is working fine, but I upgraded to the new firmware anyway. New firmware does make the phone more responsive.

Oh, good to hear. Are you going to reflash or wait for comments from Beam owners who do not have issue but reflash for better performance?
i cant reflash even if i want to, as i need to ship the phone back from overseas! very $$$!

but today my phone suddenly lock up and it went straight to the android boot screen! i was expectin the worst but luckily it boot into the OS... touch wood touch woood
