I went to check out the demo sets yesterday evening after work. And yes, I do agree that the display on both the A34 and A54 seems slightly brighter. Most probably due to the new vision booster tech that is found on the S series has now trickled down to the A series which is a good move.

However, the bezels on this new series seem like a big downgrade compared to last year's phones. It's so much thicker than last year's A33, A53, and even the A73. Not to mention, the U-shaped notch on the A34 may be quite intrusive for some when streaming content. I guess most old folks are not as nitpicky/OCD as us tech enthusiasts but at this price point, it leaves much to be desired.

I'm still contemplating if I want to wait for the price to depreciate a few months later or just pick up a new A73 or used S21+ instead which is much cheaper now should I stick to Samsung. For budget - mid-tier phones 1UI is much better supported and unrivaled for the long term compared to other brands. Perhaps I may wait for XM12P which has similar specs to the A34 to release locally and compare the difference. Even the Poco X5 isn't too bad either when compared to A34 at a lower price point.

for me i think i stick to A34 cause battery Endurance rating 133h, almost the same battery Endurance as mine sony 10 iii


also mine will be in casing so the size dont matter, and i just wait 2 month then see the price first.

A34 bigger screen more value for money.. a54 may have a faster processor on paper, but it's Exynos 1380, while the a34 Dimensity 1080 is quite decent also. Just dun feel the a54 is worth the extra $120.

Yah, the bezel big.. a54 has lower screen-to-body ratio compared to a53, a52s, a33, a34, a73.. go figure why a54 like going backwards in terms of design n form factor..

yes the bezel is pretty huge, especially the A34. Those who use A52S or A53, this feels like a downgrade. i feel the A52S screen is still better

for me is A34 brighter screen good for elderly

Battery capacity and charging speed is the same for these 2 models.. based on the endurance rating, a34 will last longer on a single charge.. see the specs comparison
