How do I stop long sms from automatically converted to mms?

I realised that if the sms is more than 5 pages long, esp for chinese ones, it will be automatically converted to mms.

Check your sms settings. Some 3rd party sms apps auto convert sms to mms if too long.

i dont think overclocking is possible on the ace at the moment.

Overclocking is possible only on custom kernels. So far the galaxy ace does not have custom kernels available yet.

The stock player cant play much video formats other than .mp4 files. You will need other video player apps to play other video formats like .avi or .wmv, but they will still lag from my experience. Best if you convert it to .mp4

Use moboplayer. Seems to be good for most video files except those HD one.

it seems that if my video fps is over 15fps, it lags. so for now, i managed to reduce my video fps to 15fps and below, no more lags, though video quality dropped a little.

now comes this part -- there are so many video format, which should i choose ? flv, avi, mpeg-4 ?

for now i chosen flv. bit rate 781 kbps, 15fps, 640 x 480. good enough i suppose ?

Comparison to Samsung Galaxy Gio

Hey guys,

How does this phone do compared to Gio?

It seems like other than the screen size and camera the rest of the specs are the same. But Gio is cheaper.

I'm looking for a phone what would allow checking of email, surf net and tether internet connection to other devices using personal hotspot.

Which would be a better choice? This or Gio?

Ok, it seems that the recording to mSD-card oredi there, cannot choose from fone/card/fone.
another interesting things;
tried thru the hard ways & found out how to set Mp3 to ringtone & msg tone, got it.
Chinese text input not on main selection, it have korean, Vietnamese, Thai, . but no Chinese, so need to press & hold setting key on tx msg screen.

APNdroid is off, GPRS is still connected when use packet data is selected. To send MMS, got to turn on APNdroid and select packet data.
Thought APNdroid blocks 3G, GPRS when not selected ? Is it normal ?

Yes, tis is another "bad" thing abt tis fone, the letter key pad a little small size & close to each other, me most of the time pressed wrong key,
sad for Samsung, the engr who designed tis may be have a very small size fingers?
2nd sad thing is the volume control can't increase mp3 ring/msg tone, - Failure!
these 2 areas lose out to Samsung Jet.
