Then I realise I cant receive any more SMS . Can any kind note 2 user please

Bro same as me, i called up Singtel CSO, ask to swap my sim to another phone (see phone or sim card spoil), turned out my new sim card faulty. Heading to Singtel to change a new one tsk.

I noticed something on my note 2. When im walking and the N2 is in my pocket, it will heat up. Then when I take it out of my pocket, I see that the screen is on and somehow the friction has opened some apps. I know for a fact that I closed the screen using the power button. So now I know what is happening, everytime I receive an sms or a missed call, the screen opens for a good 2 seconds. Leaving it vulnerable to butt dials or something like that.

Is there anyway to have a "swipe to unlock" feature ala iphone? Without resorting to having to enter a pin for everytime u open your phone (irritating).

Have you tried exploring Settings -> Lockscreen even..? There're so many ways to unlock this phone!!!! It's no longer an iPhone where only "Slide to Unlock" works. You can unlock with voice , face, pattern, pin, swipe, motion..

Even with these multitude of options to choose from and you still can't find one that you like, there's always paid/free lockscreen apps like Widgetlocker and GoLocker. Explore!!!!!!

My phone is set to lock with a pin after 5 mins of shutting the window. But before that 5 mins, if I receive an sms, the screen will turn on. I guess I have to activate the lock instantly with power button.

Disable the "open via home key" under "settings" of s voice to eliminate the 2 seconds.

has anyone tried to wake the phone by waving your hand over the screen? mine takes about 6-7 seconds, too long i think. is this the same with you guys?

never mind, found a solution. after rooting the screen can now wake up after only 2 seconds.

Can meh? I didn't know that Note 2 got this function.

Hi guys, just like to know if there is anyway to save a photo from FB to gallery...? In the past for fruit phone, I just press on photo and the option save photo will prompt up. Like to check how it can be done on N2... Thanks...

can, go to Settings -> Motion -> Quick glance.

I like the Quick Glance. Nice purple glitter/blink when the screen turns on momentarily.. but it's really a hard to make it work. That few secs taken to activate the Quick Glance could well be used to unlock the screen and pull down the status bar which shows more info than the quick glance offers. Haha. Nevertheless, I still have Quick Glance on simply because it's so beautiful (albeit practicality is minimal at best). Hahaha

Try go sms app? Its what i am using now. Can set to receive sms whereby the screen will not turn on.

Whats apps setting up issue

hi all, i am an iphone convert and have set up both me and wifey's note 2 but the apps just wont set up and keep prompting me internet connection issue. any idea whats wrong? thanks.

Having problem initializing my whatsapp after I reinstall it.

Keep telling me failed to initialized, no connection etc while I'm actually connected.

Try googling and did what people suggested by still unable to initialize. Anyone with any solution?

I have no bloody idea why also, encountered this crap when I tried reinstalling Whatsapp.

Reset my Note 2, tried with another SIM card, all not working.

In the end I had to use Titanium Backup to restore a very very early backup.
