Tablet should be using microSD memory card right. I think that write protected SD and microSD problem is quite common. Search the internet for solutions, there are many methods. Some methods may work for other while yours may require another, need to try all methods available until successful.

A few methods here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/296914-32-remove-write-protection-micro-card. You can also insert the microSD into SD card adaptor and move the lock switch up and down few times, stop at the unlock position.

It's just a useless marketing gimmick, how many microsd cards sold today are going to sit the rest of its life out comfortably in a phone slot? Practically all.

Even if you use it in rugged outdoor gear, the memory card slot is never exposed to any elements.

Marketing gimmick or not, it is better to have something than nothing at all.

I think most users here are actually not bothered about the temperature, x-ray proof and etc. They are more inclined to the price point and performance of the card.

price is always a factor in deciding which to buy.

normal user won't go to the extreme of dropping his device into fire or frequently pass through x-ray machine etc.

For frequent travellers or people working in metallurgy industries, being X ray proof and temperature tolerant will be beneficial.

Ya. Some place with higher security will always kena x-ray going in and out of workplace. For those people, better get a card thats x-ray proof.. :s22:
Any evidence to show that data will be erased if card gets X-ray'ed?
