yea true.. but then sometime i wonder what is the point for meet the people session then? they really should consider case by case basis and give priority queue/more ballot chances for those who really needs a flat urgently. as for new citizens applying for BTO, HDB should only let those who has stayed in SG for n numbers of years to apply. if they decide to leave SG in the future, they can only sell their flat back to HDB.

i see my PRC friend, husband is a new citizen, wife is a PR. husband never serves a single day of NS. first timer, 2 chances, applied 'for fun' in the recent BTO in a very popular mature estate, got a good queue number (high floor units). its not like they are in need of a flat urgently, they are currently living in a 4/5room.. sigh. and they may go back to their home country eventually, see how much they can earn when they sell off their flat? :(

Agree. We used to live in 3rm flat ... and there were 7 of us (including parents) squeezing in the tiny flat. I slept in the living room, 2 sisters shared the common room, and my bro and another sis camped in my parents' room. We were all growing up and badly needed the space. When my parents were more financially stable, they applied for a bigger flat to house all of us comfortably. Time & time again we weren't successful. Also went to MP but results still the same. I think we must have applied for a whole 2 years before we finally succeeded. And if i remembered correctly, we succeeded not becos we were finally selected, but becos they changed the system to queue system, and we got it when our number was up.

I was wondering why did the hdb changed the system back to balloting again. It gives alot of uncertainty and i find it hard to do planning, esp for young couples planning to start family. At least for queueing system, you wld roughly know when your turn is coming up and can plan accordingly.

For those who apply Punggol...

Goodluck.

Majority of you either will not be getting a queue number ( unsuccessful application ) :(

Or

A lousy queue number. :vijayadmin:

This is my past experience.

Especially for 2nd timer you only got 5% of chance.

Buy TOTO or 4D might gets you a higher winning of chance !

lol :s13:

Dream it on....:s22:

Insider...

Due to massive calls to HDB Sales of New Flats line this morning...
since 9am to 11am

With all sorts of explanations and MP references ...

some special cases.. (urgent onces, MP priority cases)

Some of them MP themselves called in...

(remember yesterday is a Monday alot of Meet of People Sessions around Singapore, unsuccessful result is out around 6.30pm rite before MPS)

Very unique cases maybe re-draw again... today..

if this is really the case, they can expect more complaints. is unfair.

If they had released ALL the results at once, there would be NO SUCH problem.
Don't know what the fudge HDB is doing seriously.

sadly, as much as it is doubtful (cus if alws complaints then redraw HDB can close shop)
we MIGHT never know since all the balloting processes are never disclosed. So who's to know?

Sigh...

There are people who may sleep on the streets...
those extreme cases...
in that case i shall keep my mouth shut then.. guys..
so long.. bye..

Yes, there are people who may sleep on the streets, these type of cases HDB will not wait till SOBF to help.

By then the flat is ready, it will be at least 2 years down the road.

Give it a thought...
