Deadline for May SoBF is tonight 11:59pm, better apply now if you're interested. I believe as long as you have not chosen a unit yet, you can submit another application and your previous one will not be cancelled.

Have you rejected any chance to select a unit before? If no, then should be no problem rejecting your Nov sobf when it comes to your turn (assuming you still have a chance) and still can go ahead with the may sobf

Thanks for your reply!
Just applied for May SBF. :)

Nope have not rejected any unit yet. This will probably be the first time rejecting. If MaySBF queue number bad again and i reject 2nd time, i think have to go resale already. :s22:

That's good :D

From what I've heard, if gets to your turn and only left very low floor units/bad units, can appeal to them for it not to count as a rejection.

Hi all,

I was wondering if i can apply for May SBF even though i have been given an appointment date for Nov2017 SBF. My Q number is 2xx but currently only serving 102. There is only 17flats left for Chinese Quota so i think most likely there wont have any quota left.

If i go ahead and apply May SBF, will my Nov2017 SBF be automatically cancelled? Or can still go for the selection on appointment date if there is still flat left.

Also, does anyone know if both my fiance and I are overseas, is the "Authorisation Form" the only document that is required? Or the whole appointment letter and documents required.. Have to sign some forms but both of us are not in singapore during this period.

TIA!

(PS: Wanted to call HDB but tmr is public holiday)
It wont cancelled. I called HDB to ask last week. They are ok with this .

Anyone knows what is the waiting time if given a a queue number to choose a flat (I.e Toa Payoh)

We're all waiting, just like you. Ballot results are out in July. Wait 2-3 months after that for selection to commence as its via alphabetical order.

Hi Guys!

If the ratio for the flat e.g. 4-room
No of units: 18
No of applicants: 269
First timer: 10.8
Second timer: NA
Overall: 14.9

Can I say all 269 is 1st timer and the ratio is 1 unit to 15 couples?

Appreciate your help in calculation / someone can teach me how the calculation works.

Thanks

They will go by alpha order if I am not wrong. (i.e) mature estate starting with A and non mature estate starting with A to start concurrently.

Yea, should be though I'm not sure why the ratios are different. A bit odd:s22:

number of 1st timer is 10.8 ratio x 18 units
number of 2nd timer is NA because for less than 20 units HDB will not reserve any 5% to 2nd timer, 100% will be given to 1st timer, meaning 2nd timer paid $10 charity donation to HDB
Overall 14.9 = 269 / 18
bottom line, if you're 1st timer, you're against ~11 others, per unit
if you're 2nd timer, you just lost $10 for nothing

Ah, that sucks lol.. HDB shouldn't let them continue with the application process in that case. But yea, free money for them.

It seems that it's open to second timer as they can't predict the application rate before the closure.

Where the flat supply for 3-room and bigger flats is less than 20 units and there are more first-timer families than the flat supply, first-timer families will be shortlisted within 100% of the flat supply and thereafter, there may be second-timer families shortlisted depending on the ballot. The selection queue positions of all shortlisted applicants are randomly balloted.

if i applied for Ang Mo Kio 3-Room as a first timer,
No of Units: 15
Number of Applicants: 50
First Timers:1.0
Second Timers: NA
Overall:3.3

since supply wont be reserved for second timers, does it mean that i am balloting with another 15 first timers?

btw the i cant post the link but if you google "flat supply and applications received hdb" you can find the final application numbers
