Oh were there a penalty charge for not choosing any flats despite having an appointment to select? I applied for Jurong area, the ratio is 7 so I'm hoping a miracle will happen haha.

There will be penalty for not choosing the BTO but no choice. I'm just stucked in a situation don't know where to go, cry or laugh. lol

Hope you get a queue number!

Was looking at November 2018 SBF where those who received the acknowledgment slip got the results the following week🙂

Oh no haha. But then again, HDB did mention that this time round both BTO and SBF have a "faster" timeline than the past. Crossing my fingers! Nervous and anxious for the results, but also afraid it might turn into disappointment haha.

Hope you get one too! If not it'll most likely be resale, I don't know how to go about buying a flat very well haha.

Still be first timer as long as u did not opt not to select the flats when invited to 2 times within a year

Ya I know right. But resale also have to wait for their flats update i think somewhere around in August. Sigh.

Oh are you talking about the ROF? I was thinking just resale in the open market sigh. But most flats are at least 30 years old.

I am looking at the SBF at Punggol. Are these the left over flats from Feb 2019 BTO launch?
May have SBF and ROF (to check on HDB website), but still to see which Ethnic groups leftover/sometimes lucky to have a gave-up unit that is on a higher floor.

Haha yeah man definitely. Do you think resale of 30 years is worth it?

that depends,
i heard that resale after 20 years will start to drop alot , then 30 years drop more.
If you are planning to just live till the end then should be okay .

But my wife choosy must near MRT must have schools and shopping nearby then cannot be more than 15-20 years .

Actually SBF costs as much as resale flats in the same vicinity (no point comparing non mature with mature estates). But we prefer SBF because of the fresh 99 years lease.

But!! What about those repossessed flats sold in SBF? Those are old flats too, and some sort renovated (u have to hack and redo), and u can't view the unit physically before u buy.

I'm just curious why people still prefer SBF than resale? Is it really a lot cheaper (same location)?

(I just applied for the latest SBF for fun since everybody said it's hard to get).

Oh wah then it's quite difficult to find resale in an open market with the criteria. For me, as long as it's in the area, and not too much issue I am okay. Those 15 year old flats are mostly earlier BTO projects which can be quite expensive because of the lease + renovation. I'm having a hard time finding one around 20 years old also.

I tried finding 20 year old units near to mrt is hard to come by but compared to 5-10 years old unit the price is alot cheaper
