I just applied for SCB Spree card through one of the review sites, and I didn't get to choose the $138 welcome gift! WHAT THE FUG!

I applied once but failed. When I applied direct in SCB website, I was sent to a gift page, and told to choose between $138 free gift or Grab vouchers.

Nothing. No free gift page whatsoever. Finished application and that's it.

which review site you apply from? Did it say you allowed to get the sign up gift from scb and that from the review site.

Any chance that SCB removed the grab vouchers option?

I realized that when I applied through SCB main website, they asked me first if I was a SCB member already. When I applied through review site, I was brought to application page directly.

I am hoping it's because they removed Grab vouchers option. Review site mentioned the $138 cashback promotion also. Would be pissed off if I lose out on $138 just because I went there from a review site.

I might have imagined it, but a few months ago when I got the Spree letter it said that the 2% cashback specifically stated that it included mobile wallets in the online spending (was hoping to use to top up Dash).

The updated website T&C doesn't say anything of that sort.

Was it just a dream?

I called. It looks like I am still eligible for $138 promotion. Not sure why the rewards page didn't show up. Removing my earlier comment so as not to give the site an unearned bad rep.

Stanchart best, called them 1.5 weeks ago to find out the effective date of the new terms in my case, since i still didn't receive any communication to date. They just called back today to clarify that it starts today.

Dbs debit card 5% paywave no min spend.

I think the new cashback program is a good option for those who dont like minimum monthly spend. You get 2% for online and paywave and 1% for everything else. This is pretty good for a general spend card. In the past I was using ANZ optimum with dining category selection as my general spend card. Now I am planning to use this spree card. I am also planning to use my Amex true cashback card for 6 months as it gives me 3% interest, whereever Amex is accepted. Do you guys think there are better options?

I just realized DBS Womens world card gives 10X points for all online spends, without minimum spend. So here is my updated strategy(with no min monthly spend)

1)EZLink and Fairprice groceries - Citi SMRT
2)Contactless transactions - AMEX True cashback card(3% cash back for all spend for 6 months)
3)Online Transactions - DBS Womens world mastercard/AMEX True cashback card where accepted(for 6 months)
4)Travel & Medical spend - CIMB platinum mastercard
5)All other general spend - SCB Unlimited cashback card
