Yes, u missed the point. Anyway I just called 2nd time this morning just in case 1st CSO was lying to me but apparently, 1st CSO was super honest with me while 2nd CSO did not tell me that they are not authorised to waive it off.

Anyone else can help?

Hi i talked to few different cso and also via online banking apply waiver. (all of them paste me their standard protocol answer on a late fee webpage which they have set up)

Straight no given to me even after different routes even though i have 10 years banking relationship with them, usage is regular as well. (several accounts even though not priority)

As last resort, I pulled out cancel all cards and still its a no. and eventually i paid the late fee and cancel all cards.

thanks for sharing. i guess no choice but to pay up n cancel their card. i only use SCB spree card like less than 5 times a year but previously they could waive off for me

no problem. with services like that, just pay up and switch. no point negotiating with them anymore. There are plenty banks with similar or even products better than them. some even have free qifts upon signing up, offsetting the late charge paid.

i take it as a chance to reorganise my assets as well. Will look to close out all accounts with scb.

Funny thing is i got a message when i tried to request for waiver via their app. Told me to contact the 24 hours customer service n CSO told me to request via app

Up to $1500 spend for 2% still good enough. At least better than Citibank smrt which just implemented a min spend.

Thanks, my statement date is 3/6/2021. All my ShopeePay are in May. My rebates don't tally for months...about 50cents to a dollar difference, haven't investigated it
