Anyone able to download the SCB Spree TnC? The pdf link to the TnC doesn't seem to work (clicked thru SCB website but cannot load it).

Specifically, is StarHub/SingTel payment for Broadband/residential phoneline considered as Utility? If considered, is Utility eligible for cashback?

Teleco and Utility eligible for cashback I think. I am using Spree card and they are counted for cashless payment rebate

I recently had my SC Spree card expire 05/22, only noticed recently that a replacement card was not sent out. I called SC regarding this and another issue I had with access to my internet banking, only to be told that SC had terminated my Spree credit card account 'as it had not been in use for some time' and that I needed to reapply if I wanted a new Spree card.

Anyone ever encountered this before, or are they just trying to foist a random reason on me? Admittedly it is not my main card use (more of a spillover card which I haven't used for > 1 year) but I have never encountered banks terminating my card accounts because of little usage. I have quite a number of bank cards that are not used much and are sitting in my drawer but have not been abruptly terminated without notification.

Thanks for sharing. This is also first time I read card terminated without any notification and this is from SC. Wonder if other banks practice the same hmmm

During my first call to them, I highlighted that my original problem was that I was not sent a replacement, and that I couldn't log in to my iBanking. They then said that 'my access was terminated'. When I asked to clarify if my credit card accounts with SC were terminated, or if my access to SC iBanking was terminated, they said it was the latter and they would do an investigation.

Yesterday they called me and told me that they are still investigating, and have provided a temporary iBanking login for me to resume my iBanking. Only upon asking about the Spree card did the CSO tell me that it was terminated due to 'little usage'. I did not receive any communications (letter, calls) from them regarding this, and they did not volunteer this information before I asked. In addition, as my other SC card was expiring in Sept, I asked if this would be the case also for the 2nd card, and the CSO said it was 'probably going to happen' and for me to 'make some transactions on it to show that it is still active'.

I have never heard of or encountered such a ridiculous CC policy from banks before, and was wondering if it's a new norm now? I would understand if they charge me the annual fee and refuse to waive, but to simply terminate my accounts without any notification due to low activity? Both my SC cards are coming up to 5 years now.

no notification is strange. usually should have notification to say they noticed you have not been using.

I will ask them again when after their investigation is completed. I am fine with cancelling both SC cards as I do not use them much nowadays, but as you mentioned, it is strange and a little off-putting that there was no notification, and by SC as well. I also wonder if this would affect my credit record (multiple cancellations within a few months)?

Ask them to credit out of goodwill the cost of buying a credit report.

Just found this SCB Spree thread. Anyone wonder why use this card to top up GrabPay there is a fee of $1? Inside the Grab app it state that but for other credit card is no fee at all. This Spree card is "special" that GrabPay want to take $1 just to topup?
