SCB just emailed me. I bought a $700 ANA air ticket via expedia, and they clarified that it was given 0.2% cashback ($1.60). Isn't expedia considered an online transaction?

Same thing happened to me last month. Purchased from Expedia, didn't get 7%. Wrote an e-mail, gotten the standard reply. Called them, told them that Expedia is an online transaction, they said will check and rebate was credited within the next few days. You can try. =)

you have to call SC hotline.
explain to CSO, u made booking online, got OTP, got confirmation online etc etc
ask CSO to escalate matter to their "Investigation Team".
they will then get back to u

I am on the pone talking to the CSO now.

He says, "online transactions" is divided into 2 items: "vpost" (which gets 7%) and "other online transactions" which gets 0.2%.

I'm defending my case with him now.

I think their staff don't even know what's going on.

I was put on hold for 10 minutes and the CSO came back and said he will put in a service request for me to get the remaining $48 cashback.

Imagine if I didn't argue and just accepted that the cashback of $1.60 is correct.

Don't need to argue one; just explain patiently & nicely to the CSO and most (if not all) of the time, they will top up the difference for you. Have done it over a dozen times as Visa cant capture some transactions as "online" i.e. Groupon.
