Sounds like Cardup provided us the wrong info that it is effective 9th Oct. Cant blame them again as SCB communication is poor on this change. Create so much commotion and confusion to the card users.
At least we still have a little more time now to enjoy the cash rebates before this card goes into sunset road.
DBS live is best for telco payments right now, even better for its new card holders with 2x rebates.

Just chat with SC about the transition for existing customer.
Existing customer will receive a renewal letter in a welcome pack that informing client of the change in card name and benefits. The effective date will be stated in the letter. Each client will has own effective date (not a standard date for all). The effective date will start 15-Nov onwards. I guess the date probably related to the billing cycle date.

Oct statement still under old benefit and need to meet the $600 minimum spending.
Nov statement, my statement date is after 15-Nov, but was told I still need to meet the minimum $600. The new benefit of no minimum limit only start in Dec statement.

This makes more sense..for those cancelling, are you able to cashout your cashback by cheque or something?

Will prolly cancel once i get my cashback for this month

I guess so. The cs initially stated the effective date is 15-Nov, transactions posted before that follow to old benefit. Later I was told to refer to the effective date in the welcome pack.
At least Oct no worry. Nov statement still enough time to find out.

I did call to verify this as well. 15 Nov is the cut off date for existing card holder, however if your statement date is after 15 Nov, it mean nov bill will be based on new rebates and not 7%. This has been verified by the manager on duty. So for me I only left this month statment for 7%. Next month bill will be new rebates since my statement date is 23rd. :(

so bro just to confirm 15th nov cut off is based on statement cycle and not transaction period?

so to say any txn from 9th oct to 9 nov is given 7%

but 22nd oct to 22nd nov is not awarded?

any new card to replace this SC card? Seems like DBS Safra (3%) or Ocbc 365 (3%) is the next best option for online purchases

My statement should be similar to yours, statement date 24 Oct (should be safe), so next cycle till 24 Nov better don't try my luck?

My card cycle is 12th, so I guess effective date for new cashback will be 12th Nov.

From what I understand, your case maybe 12th-Nov statement still under old benefit.

At first I was told the effective date (15th-Nov) is posting date not statement cycle.
Then I gave example, my statement date is after 15-Nov, I have 2 online transactions in Nov statement, one posted on 14-Nov $500, another posted on 15-Nov $100, how is the calculation of the rebate. I was told the rebate will be $37 (7% for $500 + 2% for $100).

Then I gave another example, if I only make one online transaction in Nov statement, posted on 15-Nov $100, can I get $2 rebate, since new benefit no need meet minimum $600. I was told I can't get $2, as Nov statement still need to meet minimum $600.

Later on, I was told to refer to the welcome pack letter which there is effective date which each customer has own effective date. Then I think the effective date could be the start date of the new cycle. I was told Dec statement no need meet minimum spend.

Think SCB staff also not very sure. Better just wait for the welcome pack and interpret from there.

different from what an earlier post said..one claimed is based on statement cycle, e other is based on posting date :s13:

Received the mailer from scb liao. The new rules will only kick in for transactions posted after 21 Nov. Which means I can still enjoy 7% rebates till 21 Nov.

FYI, my statement date is 21st of every month.
