My information is from BOC website. Under fees for foreign currency transactions.

Credit Cards Charges | Bank of China @ Singapore

It did not state to have additional 1% fee imposed by Visa/MC.

So is their website info wrong? You have another source of info? I know that somebody will attack me for this so I looked on the website before posting (***trying to duck arrows***)

i had been quoted by someone that anz is 1.5%. so i call up anz to ask, and was told 1.5 too, but i ask further does that include the visa charges on top on online-quoted figures, then i was told 2.5. i try to ask further of the breakdown, but cso refuse to answer directly, and well then i can draw the conclusion still, 1+1.5=2.5.

i think your case is probably again another bad bank practices, trying to make charges seems small and profits seems big, delusive and always not forthcoming.

Visa/MC 1% is a given, I have used it for so many times so I know its for a fact that its 2.5%. Many banks also list their FX fees as 1.5% + 1.0% from Visa/MC.

Has anyone tried using Singpost Card for Lazada online purchase? Do we get the 7%? Been using OCBC Frank previously. Goon switch to this if it does.

There is no clause saying no cashback for govt institutions right? I wasn't given 7% rebate for a purchase at Changi Hospital online pharmacy. I previously used Frank and BOC and was given all the rebates coz it's online. But first time using SC for this and got only 0.25%. WTH, 0.25% is even lesser than OCBC 0.5%. Sent them a msg, see how they reply. Got $6+ less rebates than I should be entitled too! Angry!
