Hi, just to share. I gave up applying for amk for kallang because of the long wait. And kallang is next in line for me because there are plans of mrt line like the other forum runners have highlighted. These are some info for those who are also looking at kallang. Hope this helps!!:)

For those who drive, kallang whampoa bto is 5-10 mins to town...orchard, bugis etc. express way exit jalan bahagia leads direct to this site, and is before erp gantry too. Buses are aplenty at express way bus stop just beside this bto. Cross the bridge and you are in toa payoh. Underpass leads to mar thorma which leads to boon keng mrt. Not forgetting all the food options at the plentiful coffeeshops, whampoa market and of course, balestier road. 24 hrs ntuc near too around whampoa market. Not as ulu as it seems.

Seem SEP SOBF got lot of choice better than march SOBF:s12:I think lot of drop out never go to select flat:)

For the new flat available at yishun...:)

-Orchid spring
-Yishun Natura (Premium)
-Dew spring

Actually, I'm rethinking my decision to purchase a 3 room flat at AMK.
I can definitely afford a 5 room flat at other locations such as Woodlands and CCK, but the convenience of AMK and having my family near me is a big draw for me.

Can any kind souls advise me on this?
Will probably be only me and my spouse staying in the flat, perhaps with a new addition later on (probably 5 years down the road).

Heya, go for the biggest u can afford and at the best location u can. New BTOs in mature estate like AMK don't come twice. And in the property world, location is the buzzword. If you think new addition only coming not so soon, by then u might have sold off this property to purchase a bigger one soon.

Go for the biggest and take a leap of faith. By the time the flat is built, you and your spouse's income should have gone by considerably and can easily afford the installment on a bigger flat.

Have applied under Married Child Priority Scheme (MCPS). "You may request to be considered under this scheme if at least one of the parents/married child is a Singapore Permanent Resident or Singapore Citizen and you meet any of the following conditions:
You are applying for flats located in the same estates as your parents or married child, who are owners, tenants or occupiers of a rental or homeownership HDB flat"

Any procedures or documents required during the selection of flat? I applied in the same estate as my parents.

The take up rate for this BTO like quite slow. Maybe it will start picking up next week? I see the first-timer application for KW still 0.0!
