The ballot system, if I got a big number, and reject, it's considered one rejection right? What if both BTOs I have low chances due to big numbers? Will this really be heng suey?
If you got a really big number but never invite you to select cos all the flats have been selected then it is not considered a rejection. If you got a really big number and there is only 2nd floor left to select then it will still usually count as a rejection unless HDB says otherwise, but this one still can argue with HDB to make it not count.
But anyway ah.. is really heng suey one. Some people 1st timer stay near parents got 4 ballot chances get super big numbers. Some people 2nd timer only 1 chance can get single digit number.

But for your second part, you mentioned '4 ballot chances' as an example. What are you referring to ?and what's the logic of this 'ballot chances'? One couple have a pair of chances each maybe?
1st timer by default gets 2 ballot slips. If stay near parents then will get double for a total of 4 ballot slips.
2nd timer by default gets 1 ballot slip. If stay near parents will get double for a total of 2 ballot slips.
2nd timers have additional restrictions on the total supply that can go to them though.
There are also other priority schemes.
Having more ballot slips increase your chances like buying more lottery tickets.
I see. Do these ballot slips contain your queue numbers then, of which if I have two for example, and if one is big and the other one is small, I still have a good chance of getting to apply for good unit due yo my small-numbered ballot slip?
All the slips should get a number. By right the eventual queue number you get is based on your best ballot number.

That location is really quite ulu man. The windy roads leading into the estate means will have a bad bottleneck. Public transport may be available but it's quite deep inside. Different people have different preferences. What's yours? Of course a lower take up rate would mean a higher chance to receive a favorable queue number.

eh im not sure leh.. i should have went to the area to recee first before applying. i applied in the MAR BTO for macpherson residency, which is right behind where im staying now, but didnt get.. somemore near my parents. applied for MAY KW also couldnt get.. this time tried the tenteram peak, but puzzled by the low take up rate.
i wonder if the walk from bto site to the bus stop at pie will take long? seems like need to go see see man haha..
right now im driving, but when coe ends in 3 years time, i might not drive anymore so hopefully by then public transport will be more convenient..

HDB will still proceed and build and leave it empty. Maybe it may even drop its selling price.(but i doubt it will do so for now)

BUS STOP
Site is very close to the Bus stop at PIE. About less than 5 mins Walk; Around 3 Stops to Toa Payoh. Return Trip you have to cross the overhead bridge of the expressway.
There is also an underpass to Mar Thoma just next to the site. From there another Busstop about 6-7mins away can take buses to Macpherson (65,66..)/Tampines (23..)/Serangoon etc

20-25mins walk to Boon Keng MRT. Have to cross the CTE overhead bridge, passby some Secondary School. Not really accessible at all.

Assuming you applying for 3 Room and Income Less than 5k , you will get the Max. 30K for both Singaporen + Singaporean
Plus AHG
Applicants of $30,000 Family Grant/$40,000 Higher-tier Family Grant, if:
They have worked for at least 1 year and
Average monthly household income over the last 1 year does not exceed $5,000
You have to read up from HDB webby to see if you qualify..

The walk to the pie bus stop is ard 5mins. It really isnt that far away as seen on the map. I recced the place already btw.

It is just 5 mins walk to the pie bus stop where you have 31, 90, 8, 142, 26 that goes to Toa payoh in less than 8 mins.
There bus 151, 154 that goes to bukit timah area.
Bus 966 goes to woodlands area.
If u cross the overhead bridge, bus 31, and 985 goes to kallang mrt. Bus 857 goes to suntec city via Jalan Besar.
If at the bus stop at Jalan bahagia, bus 21, 131 goes to
Novena square in 15 mins. Bus 125, 139 goes to boon keng mrt in 15 mins if no jam.
Bus 124 goes direct to orchard road in 25 mins.
I can't advice the other buses coz I hardly take. : )
Theres 24 hours NTUC which is just 8-10 mins walk. There's a day and night hawker with very good food, famous hokkein mee and the rojak.
If u drive back fr city, you exit Jalan bahagia exit and then immediately turn left to Jalan Tenteram.
Drive out fr Jalan Tenteram, you have easy access to cte and pie.
No mrt doesn't mean inconvenient. With Toa payoh mrt so nearby, I feel it's the same like living in Toa payoh lorongs takin feeder bus to the interchange.

Since u have already applied, just wait and see if u get a good q number to get a high floor w unblocked view. It's really a very peaceful place and very windy.
About the only single road coming into Jalan bahagia, u have an alternative route in by traveling up the cte towards AMK direction and then exit Jalan bahagia. It takes just 3 mins to reach home.
If u are coming in via balestier road, u can avoid the jams if any along balestier road by heading into ah hood road or Jalan rajah. Longer route but no traffic.
Someone mention longer route back fr east and north.
If u are at pasir ris, take the train to kallang mrt, alight and take
Bus 26,31 or 985 back home.
If take the nel, alight at potong pasir take bus 142.
If at boon keng take 31, 985.
Both reach the pie bus stop in 15 mins.
