Which means by 11.59pm 2nd Oct 2012 or 11.59pm 3rd Oct 2012?

You can still apply for nov bto as long as u have not select any units fr sept bto.

For some, they have a q number for sept bto, and their appointment is after the nov bto result of q number, they will have two q numbers of bto to choose from.

Question: What will allow be to still apply for Nov BTO, if I had applied for Sept's?

Can it be because I cancelled my Sept BTO application should I get to know that my number is too big?

If u got a q number for sept bto and u give up and apply for nov bto, u are still consider first timer.

If u give up nov as well meaning u have given up twice applying as first timer priority, your priority will be given up for a year

Seems like many here are applying for the Sep BTO half-heartedly knowing well that the a few prime locations are up and coming for Nov BTO

If your mentality is "get decent queue no. for Sep, then buy. Otherwise I'll just look forward to Nov" then perhaps we can look forward to a high dropout rate ?

At the point of application. When u are called up for flat selection, means u have already utilised ur priority, whether first timer, staying near parents etc etc...second timer etc etc.

And you are right to say the difference is the number of chance during balloting.
If you are first timer and you give up twice selecting a flat while having a q number, you lose that priority for a year when u apply the third time. So u are like a second timer.

SOBF 3rm/4rm

Question:

I saw that some of the SOBF they group the 3rm and the 4rm together.

does it mean that if the 4rms are all taken, even you want a 4rm , you are forced to take the 3rm else you consider forfeit the chance ?

Hi all, this is the first time my family is applying for BTO flat. We applied for the Kallang/Whampoa 3 room flat and we are applying as second timers. With 319 units and only 53 applied with a ratio of

first time/second time
0.1 /2.3

so far, i know the chances are low the plans will go through. However, because there are so many empty units, will HDB allocate flats to second timers to buy if the plans to build it go through? Trying to see if our chances of getting the flat is higher.

Im currently living around Jalan Bahagia and use to live at Jalan Tenteram when i was younger(been in the area since i was born), i have to say the place is actually very convenient. The bus stop near blk 34 has buses to almost everywhere and by car, you can reach anywhere in town in around 15 mins such as Orchard, Dhoby Ghaut, etc. Because you are basically next to CTE and PIE, you are in one of the most convenient location for car owners.

21 goes to Novena MRT and goes on to Boon Keng MRT and even Kallang MRT. I once took it all the way to downtown east with it.(took also 1 hr 40 mins though )

131 also goes to Novena and i normally take it to go to VIVO city

124 goes to Newton MRT and leads to Orchard, City hall and to Vivo as well

139 has 2 ways, you can use it to take to Toh Payoh interchange or the other way which can drop you near Lavender MRT and can go all the way to Sim Lim!(Good for PC enthusiast like me)

If your rental lease is up the landlord just takes it back right? Why is there a need for HDB to pay you anything?

I think if the lease is up and you are still alive you can pay to extend for another 10 years.

Want to check, since I just worked for 3+ months, let's say I continue to work for 9 months so that I hit continuously 12 months, can I apply with my gf next year even though BTO for this would have closed? Does that come under SOBF?

I think the reason why KW is so poorly received is due to the lack of amenities around the area. I drive but I don't like driving to town to get my stuff so a good neighbourhood mall is important for me.

Furthermore its really close to the CTE. Noise and dust is always an issue. I live very near the PIE so I can understand.

The lack of concrete plans of developing this area is also minus point.

HDB InfoWEB: Who Can Apply : Financing your flat

You are only required to show that you are eligible for HDB Loan during selection. No need to care about how much loan they offer you. You only need to pay the downpayment. When the flat is ready, then you submit a revised HLE for the loan which is a few years later?

Only that AHG requires you to work for 12 months to apply.
