Thanks bold10

Having an appointment means I definatly have a chance to select a flat?

Nobody can guarantee a definite yes but there might be a chance if 100++ opts out. Having a chance to select is 1 thing, but selecting a unit of your choice is another.

It does not mean definitely. It just mean you might stand a chance to select. It is better that you also apply for Nov BTO and see if you can get a good q number.

May i check under what circumstances consider a dropput?

If HDB give u selection date but u cant make it, will they forfeit the queue?

Haha am looking for possibilities to console myself I will get to select! hahaha

Is either the person did not turn up to select or choose not to book a flat.

same situation as you. no need. i've already called HDB and check.

my appoint for july bto is 15 nov. applied for sept bto and got a much better queue number. HDB say just dont turn up for the first one if u want to get the sep one.

if u decide to take the july BTO and selected a flat, e sep application will automatically be cancelled. same goes for july one. u dont turn up, automatic cancellation. but if sept u have the opportunity to select and u dont turn up, considered no more first timer alrdy.
