Thank you. Will pm Vulpix. Yes! Please let us know if anyone has any feedback. We will communicate them to our designers in Japan.

Edit: Unable to pm. @Vulpix Please help me to be verified.

Can bring in some of these Sharp Aquos mobile official accessories to Singapore?

https://accessories.3sh.jp/?device=...I4Njk5OC4yLjEuMTczNTI4NzAyOS4yOS4wLjA.?more=1

We bought Sharp Aquos R9 pro (at premium price), but the accessories available in Singapore is almost zero. 😟

Anyone with the R9 or Pro, can the refresh rate rate be set at just 120hz? I don't need the 240hz at all, overkill on a smartphone

We are constantly expanding our pool of partners to have more retail outlets with demo units. Happy to report we are in the midst of installing demo units in some outlets in the West area of Singapore. As for partnership with local telcos, we should have some news in 2025 to share.

Can't speak for the future but I can confirm that all our current phones share the same or better hardware.
I can see your demo units in some Challenger & Court outlets.

However, there are very limited online reviews of Sharp 2024 handsets (eg: R9, R9 Pro, R8 Pro, Sense 9 & Sense 8 ).
Any decent reviews are usually from Japan.
It will be good to send out review samples to some websites like HWZ or Gsmarena.
That will increase the public exposure to Sharp mobile phones.

I happen to read it in one of the forum few days back saying that the 240hz isn't the "the true refresh rate". Actually it's still running on 120hz with "Frame Interpolation" and makes it feel like 240hz. I'm not sure how accurate it is though. Looking at those gaming phones from those Chinese brands. Most of them are at 144hz max.

Most of the reviews are on Japanese with one or two in Chinese. Sharp should really consider sending more review units to those tech bloggers, websites and YouTubers for specific countries.

Had a brief look at the phone yesterday at Gain City, I am quite interested to use this to replace my S23U.

Can someone with R9 Pro help confirm if the data roaming setting for each sim/esim can be on/off individually. Meaning I could select which sim to be on roaming and the other not. Samsung can't.

Thanks in advance.

Usually, enabling roaming or not is a global option.
Buy you have granular control over which SIM handles calls, SMS and data usage.

That said, I've not personally used the R9 Pro, but just sharing my observation.

Technically, every mobile phone that supports 2 sims (be it physical sim or esim) should be able to select which sim to use cellular data. You can only set one sim (be it physical sim or esim) for using cellular data. Data roaming will only be assigned to the sim you set for cellular data.
Not sure why your Samsung S23U cannot do that. Maybe you can visit a Samsung service center for advice from the staff on how to do that, or you can ask at the HWZ Samsung User Group sub-forum.

Well.... both said are correct.

I travel a bit and have use different sims in the phone. Singtel being default for calls is not use for data in Singapore or overseas. But twice over last 2 months, the data selection changed by itself and I incurred $100 unnecessarily.

Went to Samsung shop, 2 options given. Either put Singtel sim in sim2 slot or send in the phone for diagnosis. As I am looking for a new phone and still travelling, I just put Singtel card in sim2 slot and so far so good.

I am still using a Huawei Mate20X which data roaming can be on/off for individual sim. So I just wondering if any other phone has this feature. Samsung sure not.

So hope R9 Pro user or Sharp could advise. Thanks a million.

does samsung have a data limit setting (on a per sim basis)?

if so, set the limit to zero for the singtel sim. It might work.

Can be set but I never do it.

Very happy to see sharp making a comeback... Reminded me of the time I used 903SH back in poly days. Maybe will check out their mid ranger since the high end looks expensive. Also software support better be good too

Just sharing some details of the R9/R9 Pro 240hz display...

In applications where the Smooth High-Speed Display and registered gaming menu game settings are enabled, black frames are inserted in sync with the 120Hz refresh rate, achieving a display state change of 240 times per second—four times the state change frequency of the OFF mode (60Hz). Depending on the specifications of the application, the quadruple-speed (240Hz) display may not be achieved.
