Which app ?

I stop and disable, it isn't running already for the really useless stuff.

If you stop and it resumes = that app is being used by the phone for something that you are doing

I root since desire hd... Custom rom... Because most roms are debloated already... Some root for apps some root to flash... I'm both. Haha custom kernel is a must...

Note 2 just launch not long.. One guy cracked his screen from a fall. You never know.. And one of the note 3 thread one guy already found out the bezel must be changed when screen is replaced.. So I guess he already got go before.. Haha try my luck la

I heard samsung might push knox security in their future ota for other devices so that the repair due to knox warranty void will give them a good reason to void warranty replacement.

this vegas method only can gain root w/o trigger knox count but other than removing bloatwares and installing app that required root access. installing custom recovery thru odin might/will still trigger knox warranty void count. I still have my root note 2, i think I might let my note 3 remain my first unrooted android as note 3 still a beast even if not rooted.

if we flash any Recovery, knox counter will trigger x01, so it means were still stuck with the stock recovery.

but some apps that needed root can be installed specially greenify and adaware plus the freezing of the bloatwares. honestly, stock fw as you said is a beast already, so who needs custom ROMs?

Confirmed... Read thru the de la vega thread...

Custom kernel for audio boost... Haha. Boeffla needs supported kernel.. But even custom kernel will trigger. So yeah my first unrooted android , till miracle happens

like what they say in xda, it's too early for our N3.

give it some time and hopefully one of the gurus of xda will make a crack on flashing a recovery without knox trigerring, for the meantime we can enjoy our greenify and adaway until the awaited miracle happens LOL :s13:

It's a modified stock ROM that can call the script from SD card to install SU and root the device. the steps are in the OP already, you just need to enter download mode (vol down+power+homekey) to flash the tar.md5 file via odin.

thanks! and the edit stock rom.. as long as we take the N9005 file, it's correct right?
I'm under the impression that local stock roms may be slightly different (am I wrong in this?)

so this Vega method is also different from the usual Chainfire method right
Chainfire's method just installs SU that allows you to root the device?

the original chainfire method will trigger the Knox counter, this one will not. as long as you do not install any Custom Recovery or TWRP.

They are the same thing...

As long as you don't flash anything at all... After rooting, you won't trigger knox... The system update scri[t will trigger it and currently only this delavega has the edited script which prevents triggering.

thanks!
basically Vega incorporated the Chainfire's SuperUser into the ROM (and also edited the script) to prevent triggering..?

Rooted Finally

I've now rooted my N3 without Knox trigger, thanks to the Root dela Vega way of designgears andchainfire.

It also does not wipe my internal SD as I still have all my apps and settings after the root, but I backed it up anyway, just in case.

Got my Adaway and Greenify installed. Wil just use TB to freeze some bloatwares.
