I've now rooted my N3 without Knox trigger, thanks to the Root dela Vega way of designgears andchainfire.

It also does not wipe my internal SD as I still have all my apps and settings after the root, but I backed it up anyway, just in case.

Got my Adaway and Greenify installed. Wil just use TB to freeze some bloatwares.

Why freeze and not uninstall bloatware using tb? Sorry, really new to the android scene. :s13:

I feel that its safer to freeze the apps first just to make sure that we will not get any error in case one apps needed those apps that we freeze when we run them.

Then after break in and find no prob its up to the user to delete these bloatwares to free up some space. But I think 32GB is too big to store those frozen bloatwares.

Many apps we want to delete are interlinked.. Freeze is safer in that we can undo if anything goes wrong..

thanks!
basically Vega incorporated the Chainfire's SuperUser into the ROM (and also edited the script) to prevent triggering..?

I think that is what happens.. Haven't read thru the thread , Just skimmed thru...

he did some changes, separate the csc (country/region carrier specific code) from main tar. Check your csc *#1234#
Read the instruction again (w changes)- download both tar, flash together in odin.

Edit: wohoo Rooted!!!
btw to flash the two tar at one go, edit odin ini, change csc='1' to enable csc select.

I never wiped my SD when I flash, though I removed my ext SD before going to Odin.

All my settings and apps are still intact after I fin rooting, though I backed up all my folders in my PC just in case.

No lah, taking out the batt is the fastest way to off your phone so you can press vol down+power+home to enter DL mode immediately.
