For the benefit of incoming applicants, I am sharing the timeline of my application here. Your process may not be the same, as all of this is in the past.

---
2023
3 July - Application on CareersGov
2 August - Selection Assessment
22 August - Psychometric Test
(12 September - Reminded HR about my outcome in the morning via email, then was informed of my Panel Interview details same day)
25 September - Panel Interview
26 September - Notice to Schedule PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination)
Numerous PEME appointments in between
11 December - Offer of Appointment

(2.5 months waiting due to medical complications which turned out to be false alarm)

2024
8 January - Name Tag Text Submission
6 February - Uniform Fitting
12 March - Details of Training Released
21 March - Signing (requires TWO sureties)
1 April - Attachment
15 April - Start of residential phase at Home Team Academy
---
I found that it is difficult to find any information online about this. Hence, here are some basic tips for applicants, I will not answer any additional questions though:

(1) Build up your physical strength in both cardio and muscle mass, you'll thank me later!
(2) Recognise that Rehabilitation is not the main purpose of this role --> if you are looking for that then further your career in Psychology or the like
(3) Read up on roles of a Correctional Unit Officer from other countries, through YouTube, Reddit & Quora forums to improve your understanding of what you are signing up for
Saw that you went numerous peme appts in between. Does this mean after your medical checkup, they referred you to see a specialist or something for your medical complications?

Hi! Just reactivating this thread! Anyone recently applied this year 2025? If yes, how’s the progress? I applied in January, went for the online psychometric session and did provision of documents. Till now pending updates. Anyone in the same boat as me?
