I served spf during NS (we share the same training ground HTA)-
Yeah definitely can bring phone in, but personal laptop, I doubt so. They will provide training laptop

Hi! If you don't mind sharing, could you let me know approximately how long after the Selection Assessment did you get the email invite for Selection Panel (Board Interview)? It's been two weeks for me but I haven't received anything But they already made me submit additional documents like my birth cert and nric after the selection assessment...

Also what are the chances of medical check ups failure? And usually how long does it take from medical to letter of offer?

have you received your offer? what i know is that if there’s any abnormalities during your medical check up, they will refer you to go for more tests to get it checked. otherwise, i think if there’s nothing significantly wrong with your body + received your character referral, you have a high chance of getting accepted. timeline also varies from what i’ve read so far, some take 1 month, some take longer. i’m also in the waiting stage after medical.

(12 September - Reminded HR about my outcome in the morning via email, then was informed of my Panel Interview details same day)
25 September - Panel Interview
26 September - Notice to Schedule PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination)
Numerous PEME appointments in between
11 December - Offer of Appointment

(2.5 months waiting due to medical complications which turned out to be false alarm)

2024
8 January - Name Tag Text Submission
6 February - Uniform Fitting
12 March - Details of Training Released
21 March - Signing (requires TWO sureties)
1 April - Attachment
15 April - Start of residential phase at Home Team Academy

I found that it is difficult to find any information online about this. Hence, here are some basic tips for applicants, I will not answer any additional questions though:

(1) Build up your physical strength in both cardio and muscle mass, you'll thank me later!
(2) Recognise that Rehabilitation is not the main purpose of this role --> if you are looking for that then further your career in Psychology or the like
(3) Read up on roles of a Correctional Unit Officer from other countries, through YouTube, Reddit & Quora forums to improve your understanding of what you are signing up for

Hi, I know it's been nearly a year, but may I enquire the "numerous PEME appointments in between"? I am in a similar position where I had a sports incident back in 2019 and they are checking for reports for the medical board to assess.

If you're willing to share, what were your appointments like for this numerous PEME? Polyclinic appointments?

Been slightly more than a month for me. But because I had several follow up medical appointments, so I presume it'll be around 2.5 months similarly with another fella in this thread.

ah i see, its been close to 2 weeks for me. But I was told during SA that they will roll out LOA by sept. hopefully itll come soon

Been seeing a trend of 1month + 1 week for the duration between medical and LOA for those who have no issue with medical. So hopefully you'll get yours around mid/late Sep?

my medical was in july, got offered in aug, about 5 weeks of waiting. pre-appt posting starts in nov 25, training is feb 26. still waiting for LOA
