Econs is really difficult, but then there are a number of econs students here, but i choose business is because i like the flexibility and there are a wide range of subjects to choose from. Provides you with the knowledge to excel in every aspect.

True that it would be general, but that is only for the 1st yr, for the 2nd and 3rd yr, u can still choose the subjects that u are more interested in and branch into a more specific field.

True. Take Business is better. Study Economics for what reason? Want to be a lecturer or a teacher? MOE dont recognize. Want to be an Economist? SMU grads are more competitive. Want to be an analyst? Again, SMU grads have more advantage.

The UOL Economics course is recognized by only a few institutions like MAS. Stat boards and most govt ministries give priority to SMU graduates, leaving UOL graduates to fend themselves with sales jobs in banks and financial planning companies.

Econs has a lot of maths also, but then really not easy to study, quite difficult.

That is good. Finish your business course and u wont regret it. Find your opportunities in other countries. Singapore will become a country dominated with Chinamen, Pinoys and other foreign aliens...
