SIM UOL August 2012 Intake

hi guys, can anyone advise if it is true that we only need to choose 4 modules for year 1 out of these:
• EC1002 Introduction to Economics (ECONS)
• ST104a Statistics 1 (½ unit) (STAT1) * - please refer to point c.
• MT105a Mathematics 1 (½ unit) (MATH1)
• MN1107 Introduction to Business & Management (IBM)
• SC1021 Principles of Sociology (PSOC)
• FN1024 Principles of Banking & Finance (PBF)
• AC1025 Principles of Accounting (POA)

Also, can we not choose the maths modules?

Just remembered, dun think u can skip maths modules, cos last week they said its compulsory units if i not wrong.

Hey guys advise me i gonna quit uol and take up acca. Should i or should not

I think quitting might be a waste since it implies you're already gone through halfway, why not take acca at the same time? at least at the end you'll have both certs, they are very different certs btw.

I can only take one as i cant afford two cert. I got direct entry to year 2 at uol. But prob is acca will be a faster route for me at a dilemma.

How come wanna quit UOL ah?? U got direct entry to yr 2 and that's gd ah. Anyway, though UOL is difficult, heard that ACCA is even more difficult to study and the failure rates are high.

Take both at same time very stressful leh, study both and then still have to pay both as well, will be exp man.
