Just installed simba's ont moments ago, can confirm my torrenting works normally as before and and i am able to play valorant also although ping was abit on a higher side. But weirdly i am unable to surf hwz on both desktop and mobile browser. Its just stated "SPH Media, we are experiencing technical difficulty..." , on my mobile phone, when i switch off wifi, using 4g, then i can surf normally on hwz using mobile internet browser. On wifi, i am able to surf hwz via edmwer app. Any advise please ? Thank you.

Try change dns to Cloudflare. Restart router after config

SIMBA 10Gbps is not available in many places. For example, most of areas in the west do not have SIMBA 10Gbps service available. So they are asking you to subscribe to 2.5Gbps first. They offer free upgrade to 10Gbps when it is available.

Does changing your dns works for you ?

It seems like ethernet doesn't really offer much from wifi, if you sit close enough <0.5m.

Does your AC router has 2.5G lan port? If not, you won't take advantage of the 2.5G/10G plan via ethernet.

Besides raw speed, ethernet should provide better latency & consistency.
This is going to be more pronounced the further away from the AP(Router), and is it going to be practical to be that close to the AP(Router) ?

It looks like I am going for gold to yolo with SIMBA's 2.5Gbps plan.

Router wise, don't judge me but I will be getting a GL.iNet MT3000 / BeeconMini SEED One router from TaoBao (~SGD65 before card tax).

Will update on the results here when it's set up, do you guys have anything you'll like to see?

Maybe you can try ip config renew on your router and hope your ip will change and can surf.

hi gurus,

I signed up the simba fiber and collected the ONT. I scheduled my preferred NLT appointment slots next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but yet to received appointment confirmation email.
Would I expect someone to come my place for installation? or I just connect the ONT to Termination Point myself and the connectivity will happen by scheduled appt date?
