I did not receive any emails. I went straight to collect the sim card. Their system already has the registration information.

Just collected my TPG sim card and I have a few noob questions.

When going to Msia, do I just turn on data roaming? Also, how to check the 1G roaming data usage?

Yes just activate data roaming. U need to install the Simba App. Got 2 apps, one for VLTE voice and one to check the data usage

For the additional 2GB to MY/ID/TH, must check through the SIMBA My Account. Cannot check through SIMBA App.

after signing up, take the necessary documents to a sim card collection point to get the sim card. when done, the countdown starts, usually within the next business day or 2, the number will be ported over to simba/tpg.

Need to sign the authorization form.

I did it with both ICs and the authorization letter.

Question: what is the top up wallet used for? Aren't they going to bill me for my mobile plan monthly on my credit card or something? So now, i need to top up then that would be deducted every month? Feels so weird

This is not true. My TPG 4G voice app can still function even when i remove the sim card.

My friend handphone using TPG voice app. He can make outgoing call . But the app always go into sleep mode so people cannot call him. Unless he click start the app first. It is an old 4Gphone running Android 4

Depending on the Area. But I can get 100Mbps download at Hougang Avenue 3 area once. Upload only 5Mbps

Promotion period, 2GB per country per bill cycle.
But given the current competition, don't be surprised that the promotion get extended again like their additional 50GB local data lol

Not sure what's so confusing, have you previously sign up any lines with MVNOs?

If you linked a credit card to the account, there will be auto deduction after every 30 days; each payment gives one 30 days of service. For people who did not want to link their credit card, can choose to top up their wallet so deduction can be make after each 30 days cycle.

Unlike the 3 main telcos which send subscriber an invoice each month for the previous month service, all MVNO and Simba pre-charged for service to be rendered at the beginning of cycle.

Thanks for the response and help. Just so we are on the same page, Simba/TPG is not a MVNO, it is the 4th telco in SG with its own network. And yes I had been on Circleslife, GOMO, MyRepublic, Giga. None was such a painful process like this one

Now, I also dont find any options in the Simba app that allows linking of credit cards except topping the wallet. Am I missing out on anything?

And I have to agree the service isn't the best and can be frustrating to find answers sometimes. No proper instructions for collecting the sim, no email notifications. Hence i think this place could be a source for answers, which is sad for a telco.

Can setup your card via logging in on their webpage. Didn't download the app since I doubt I need to monitor usage after coming from Circles.Life. I just sign up yesterday so don't know how smooth the process will be, keeping finger crossed!
