What phone are you using? Simba only supports 5G on a very very tiny list of phones from Vivo and the Mate 40 Pro.
Coincidentally, when I was at Orchard Central raising my complaint on poor signal reception at my home, the counter staff changed and pass to me a new SIM card.
After inserting and while trying to check the settings, I noticed that the 5G symbol was on the status bar.
I showed the staff and she eventually took my phone and change the phone settings to LTE.
I am using Samsung S23 Ultra.

You can set it back to 5G if you want:

Dial *#*#4636#*#* and press phone information, then select NR/LTE/WCDMA in the dropdown

Err....Free Wi-Fi...!🥶 Not in my dictionary! 🥶Dangerous sia! 🤖

Anyway, chop chop karipok! 😙 My primary line is coming back to SIMBA tonight as well! 🤭

5G SA or NSA to me! It's "over-speed" for me! I don't need it for my usages! Save up some pocket money to buy Happy Meals! 🍔🍟 😙

Paid/Locked Wi-Fi also not secure if it's not using WPA3 (all networks using gear older than 2021) by that logic. We now rely on in-app encryption to ensure all our information is safe.

Not now, Simba is trying to resolve my mobile signal reception at my home which is super low with multiple times encountering no service at all. At times I even get a message "emergency calls only". :(

Anyway, thanks for highlighting.

Is it any better to charge up the balance from shopee purchases instead of deducting from credit card monthly?

Definitely useable around Bedok area, can't comment on Changi Airport and Tampines as I seldom frequent there

We can get 5G by doing this setting?

I have not try this method as I am in the midst with Simba, resolving the cell signal at my home.

Have you tried?

You were initially worried after reading a lot of negative reviews and comments in this thread.
However, you actually went ahead and ported over.
So, are you happy with the signal reception?

Bishan area - 2-3 bar. Went for a walk around the neighbourhood and was able to stream Netflix and YT without lag
Tampines - 2-3 bar. Requested for OCBC OTP and waited about 30 seconds for it?
Paya Lebar - 4 bar. No apparent issue
Been getting "Your SIM sent a text message"

Overall I would say for $10 its not that bad.. but it's perpetually on LTE signal and while i dont suffer from any speed issue, it kinda sucks to still see it

I use at jewel before and during covid, T2 transit area in Jan 2023, I even post pictures on fb when aircraft taxiing to takeoff didn't notice any issues

Bedok is from bedok MRT to hawker ctr to ABC no problem. But not sure your bedok is which area

Actually, your tabulated results from different areas seem ok.
As for my case, I keep getting multiple no service notification when at home within a day.
However, when out of home, I get good and strong cell signals.
Anyway, Simba is looking into my strange issue and hopefully they can resolve it.

LTE is the same as 4G, it's just up to the telco whether they want to use LTE or 4G in the status bar
