Anyone tried simba roaming in Vietnam? Saw the Simba Super Roam plan quite worth it.

I used it before in HCM, just HCM urban area for 2 days! It was good! :)

SuperRoam at $25. It's not cheap! Unless you know you are going to use up to 10GB of Roaming data per month! Else, if you only use 1GB or 2GB the most, then opt for the $10 plan.

Any access of more than 1GB will be PPU and SIMBA's PPU rate is cheap and charged at 10MB block only,

Slow speed I am not worried .I am more worried on no signal or coverage . Because android still to not have this feature of auto switching network to the other sim when one has no signal .

Be careful, duno why my Xiaomi poco on Android dunno why cannot connect to Simba from day2 onwards during roaming in china. Day 1 was ok.

Switch the simcard to apple phone and can connect. Too bad cannot use on my Android phone and also, when on my apple phone, the tether function is turn off for Simba. Making my andriod phone totally useless on the go (can only rely on shop or hotel wifi)

Not the first time I had issue with Simba overseas. My advice is, Use it as a spare, not the main sim

If iPhone can use the sim card but Poco cannot, isn't it a problem with the Poco phone?

To hotspot on iPhone, have you configured and set up the hotspot function? It is not as straightforward as on an Android phone.

Then how do you explain that it was working on the first day?

Even so, I suspect it's more of Android issue.

Hotspot option is disabled for Simba on iphone when roaming in china

Speedtest app recently added telco and apps down status powered by downdetector. Seem like M1 always has higher user reports then other telco. When i was using myrepublic, after changed to m1 infrastructure, encountered few times of signal bar full but could not receive mobile data.

If its working on day 1, then it should be working still.
Have you tried to manually attach to the network?

for iOS devices, you'll need to manually config the Hotspot settings to enable the hotspot option.

The mere fact that it works fine on your iPhone already rules out a problem with your SIM card roaming profile. Your Poco phone may have done some updating which messed up with the roaming. Android is just the base system software, the hardware manufacturer does a lot of configuration to cater to different component drivers that are used inside the phone. You can write and complain on Simba's FB page, they have more than 800k subscribers which is 10% of the Singapore market, at any point in time, there should be hundreds of users in China roaming, so if this affects Android users, they probably are flooded with similar complaints or you can perhaps trigger similar complaints that will compel them to investigate further.
