Me just back from china, so far network v good and fast enough for me for whatsapp, youtube, telegram etc..., 4G full bars throughout (I dont have 5G handset). Didnt do anything, just off airplane mode and on data roaming setting, APN set to TPG already
Note: Not using the superroam plan, just the normal plan with free 1GB
Which part of China you went?

FAQ said need to go down to their office physically to get a new QR code for $5 when you change phone. I am ready to pay $5, but I am overseas and won't come back that often, anyone tried to email them and get a QR code instead? Otherwise, I probably have to port out to somewhere and then port back in, very troublesome.

BTW, I use SIMBA because it allows free incoming calls from Singapore, it's very useful when staying overseas. Furthermore, it has 1GB free roaming, also useful when I travel.
is it the idd minutes? meaning senior plan and $10 plan dont have the voice app function?

Simba after 5G upgrade is now so fast at my own house.

Simba 120Mbps
StarHub 100Mbps
M1 30Mbps
SingTel 5Mbps

Simba also fastest at my workplace (the rest all 3G/no signal). Huat ah
Well, lucky for you that your home has strong signals.

My high floor unit is having very poor signal reception, majority of the time at less than 8 Mbps and also frequently encounter no service at all. :(

Feedback to Simba via feedback. They will ask u to do a few speed test and screenshot
If really a problem they will schedule for new cell tower in few months.

I got my cells after feedback for 2-3 months.

Have you tried using 4G instead of 5G? 5G signal range is poorer compared to 4G, so if Simba simply put their 5G equipment beside the existing 4G ones (since they already leased those locations), there will be places where the 5G signals will not reach or only reach with lower strength.

I have already given my feedback to Simba, answering their standard list of questionnaires.
In response, Simba gave me a case number and now waiting for their follow up reply.

Well, I have tried both 4G and 5G, results are almost similar with little differences in speedtest.
But the worst scenario is that I am encountering regular occurence on "no service" issue daily.
Anyway, already feedback to Simba, hence I will just have to wait for Simba's response.

With only 2 bars signal, speed will never be good. A lot of times is dependent on the base station facing when we are at home. The cell tower locator app can pinpoint the base station location. If it is behind your flat and blocked by a few doors and walls, then most likely the signal will be weak. For me, I know the cell tower is 450m opposite the window, so I have a full signal. Once I go to my lift lobby, the signal strength will drop to 2 bar even though the lobby is less than 10 steps away from my front door.

I use nPerf app to check for cell tower near my vicinity, unfortunately no cell tower found, probably located quite a distance away from my residential area.

Must try a different app, last week when I used Network Cell Info lite, it could not show any cell location. When I switched to the cell tower locator app, it worked fine. I suspect might be some permission-setting issues.

Currently able to connect to 5G (NSA).

When I do manual search for network, can see Simba 4G and Simba 5G. But unable to connect to Simba 5G. Only Simba 4G can connect.

Does anyone here able to connect to the Simba 5G under the Manual Network Search.

I also cannot manually connect to that simba 5g. That simba 5g maybe is the 5G SA network. If you use network cell info or similar apps, can detect a n1 band 5g cell tower.
