Guys im currently on simba esim on my phone. However, when i try to pair my galaxy watch it shows simba telco is not supported?

Pairing phone with samsung watch is via bluetooth nothing to do with telco..

Unless you are thinking of adding mobile plan to Galaxy watch (thats another thing), Simba dont support it only some other telco does.

It means it is using 5G network (5G NSA for now) and voLTE (4G Voice). You are okay to use.

Why is SIMBA SIM swap so painful? Why in this day and age, I still need to go down to their Service Center when I move my eSIM from one phone to another. Even if they want to charge me $5 each time, can just take charge me online or through my balance and give me the QR code.

Please SIMBA, allow me to do the swap online. I will gladly continue to pay you the $5, even though I think that sucks, each time!!

Or is there a way to do this without going to their service center that I'm missing?

Nope.. Just go there and change, less than 5 mins.. No choice.

First world problems. I think you suggest feedback to simba, i think it's quite reasonable to pay $5 for esim transfer, but please allow the issuance online. True la, they should have this system to allow swap online, just send us an email and we scan the qr code will do.

use old fashioned simcard then you dont have such problem. you can swap anytime, and many times. if you like to swap.

Agree. esim only add more inconvenience to the user although it is supposed to be more user friendly.

But then iphone users need to use esim if they want to have 2 lines on the same phone.

It’s more like an SG problem. I travel a bit for work and have a lot of different SIMs for different countries I visit, so eSIM is awesome from that perspective.

Do you think they’re open to feedback? Was surprised when they offered eSIM, but feels like they’ve not done any more enhancement after that

can't you use physical sim for simba, and esim for travelling ? iphone should support both.

esim quick transfer is mainly dominant in North America, support out of NA is relatively limited, so in a way your experience with NA esim sort of set your expectation too high

In a sense they don't have a choice, with iPhone 14 onwards in US esim only, and iPhone having a much larger market share than here, they would be overwhelmed if esim is as much trouble as it is here, not to mention the huge distance that some users need to travel in order to gain access to a store.

I would say use physical sim for SG and use esim for your travel might be a better arrangements.
A number of android phones allows 2 physical sim + esim, so that might be perhaps more suitable in your use case ?

the problem with sg telcos is they want to milk as much as possible out of esim. esim should be free like psim.
