North South Line is 45 kilometres long.

approximately 12 to 15 kilometers underground. Please be specific.

Please feedback to simba to improve that section, they will reply to you

I take NSL, almost when the train is moving there is little to no signal.

The signal resumes when it reaches the next stop, macam reach "civilisation" then got some signal.

If you watch YT videos, it will need to pre-buffer at the station first, when train is moving, it will use up the pre-buffered clip, then stop when it uses up, and continues buffering when it reached the next station.

It is that bad. Previously when I was on Singtel's MVNO GOMO, it was also not the best, but not as bad as SIMBA.

I recently went back to SIMBA just because it's cheap, and I travel regionally they have good bundles.

For context, I'm using a 13 Pro Max with eSim, not physical sim

Slowba wants you to enjoy the ride. Focus on the scenic views, and read some story books. Just like last time, no phones.

This is for a friend, I'm on Android.

I need some help for setting up Hotspot for iPhone, particularly its APN. How/what to do? As detail as possible if you can.

Thanks.

When I understand the need to have connectivity, I think many are indulging too deeply in mobile entertainment. Many are crawling slowly in the middle of the road with their eyes glued to the phone, and have no idea of what is going on, if they are causing obstruction etc.

1) Choose your fav search engine
2) Type in "iphone mobile hotspot"
3) press enter
4) Take your pick of your preferred recommendation on the list and follow their instructions.

No need to do set-up for SIMBA's APN?

That should have been taken care of when configuring the iphone for Simba and should not require further action when setting up the hotspot.

But if that was not done previously, the information is available in Simba's FAQ under Network & configuration > APN > What is the APN setting for simba.

Poor signal also discourages able-body passengers from rushing for seats just to meddle with their phones.

I always go to the APN settings and input TPG in the first 2 blanks of everything available there. That would include Hotspot.

Don't forget to restart the phone after that.

My screenshot. I turned off "Use Carrier Settings" and input the TPG.

Depends you subscribing to Seniors Plan or not.

If not going for Seniors Plan, just use yours.

Need to indicate "tpg" under the personal hotspot section in Mobile Data. username and password can leave it empty.

Otherwise, your hotspot option will not appear

I think listening to music is ok, but I do agree that many are "overly" glued to the screen. Some watching videos, some playing mobile games, some shopping on SHEIN, Amazon, Shopee, Lazada, Taobao.

I enjoy listening to podcasts and some are available on Spotify. But sometimes without the video content, you can't see the facial expressions and only hear them, like tuning in to a radio station - and even so, nowadays Mediacorp Radio got livestream on FB or MeWatch liao
