They generic answer, never say anything about the lucky number itself
They replied, confirming only need to pay for second month bill for lucky number and port out online. No need to head down to any service center, no talk about the 50% price penalty need to pay back.

Will be porting out of SIMBA, the 5G speeds are practically 4G speeds for the west side, Boon Lay and Lakeside. My work place near Kent Ridge also sucks. A lot of times drop from 5G to 4G connection.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, you may port out your lucky number during your second billing cycle, and the process can be completed online.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
Julie

Hi Julie,

Can i confirm that for Lucky Number specifically, I port out during the second month, there is no other penalty or fees i need to pay? Do i need to go down to any service center?

Thanks for sharing this info. (y)

Maybe it's something to do with Eight having their listing of Huat numbers that can be port out anytime FOC. :s13:

in general, SIMBA's 5G is sparse, and mostly worse than 4G.
in fact, even though 5G may have slightly better DL speed, the latency is much worse than 4G most of the time.

so i've stayed on 4G/LTE for SIMBA, save battery save frustration too!

if you happen to set your setting to hide your number (hide your caller ID) you can't make outgoing call to certain numbers.
I had this issue too but once I set it to network default (not hide) then I can make call to all numbers.

Didn't know a retailer can claw back wallet balance after top-up.

Few weeks ago during the 1-for-1 top up promo, i topped up $20 via the retailer number shared here, and i didn't need to go down Marina Square. The retailer topped up 2 times, and my wallet balance becomes ($20+$20)+($20+$20)=$80.

My wallet balance stayed $80+ for a few weeks, then lasty week, it was reverted to $40. Looks like they knew and told Simba to claw it back.

They could've put up an appeal.

All "digital wallets" (including wise, Lazada, etc) are vulnerable to claw-backs, breaches, etc. so advise not to top-up too much.

Just checked the 1 4 1 topup done in march still intact. Also pay at service center then the staff topup on behalf at marina sq at night.
