Tpg website stated that its "TPG 50GB Prepaid Plan" is a prepaid plan and it support prepaid port in from others telco.
Can this be later upgraded to postpaid? Then for subsequent port out to other telco.(As M1 prepaid to postpaid need pay >$45)

it can be ported out to other telco without any surcharges

Just that TPG don't have any contract and you paid first before you use the service. I think most of the MVNO doing it except circle life.. for big telco , they will charge 1 prorated subscription + 1 month advance when u start using their services

Actually a lot of people didn't realise they were charged 1 month advance by the big 3 telcos.... which makes the Post-Paid plan looks like Pre-Paid anyway.

No network at Civic Centre NTUC. The rest of Woodlands area so far so good. Just got to bear with slow download speed, less than 10mbps at certain places.

their idea of TPG seems quite "unique". So far they seem to be the only telco willing to accept port-in of prepaid line from other telco, to their prepaid line. I have been wanting to do this but havent found the time to walk-in to their Orchard branch though,

You can port prepaid numbers from and to any telco's prepaid line. Just cannot switch to postpaid when porting.

I am using M1 Prepaid, checked with Starhub and Singtel, both also dont accept me to port-in to their prepaid... I asked TPG, they say can port-in to their prepaid. And TPG even suggest after using their prepaid 1 month after port-in, I can switch to post-paid for convenience sake. Also then my prepaid number can be converted to postpaid already.

🤦‍♀️did not follow their FB.
Got free SIM delivery. Bo bian got to go orchard.

I tried it last month. I signed up the TPG for work purpose. The only downside using app is that the choice of numbers aren't a lot, so have to live with not very nice number or wait camp for nicer ones.

That doesn't make sense, I've ported prepaid numbers between all 3 telcos beofore. Did you check at their official stores and not the authorised retailers?

Yes, no service until TPG receives the ported in number.
Bill cycle will start from the day of port in.

what is tpg avg upload / download speed outside?
IMHO.
TPG depends on location.
IIRC, I've tested from around 15 Mbps to 40 Mbps.
Usually the higher bandwidth seems to be in locations that potentially have a lot of users.

IMHO. IIRC.
There are 2 bands - 8 and 40.
Band 8, the upload/download is symmetrical e.g. if download is 15, upload also 15.
Band 40, at the same location, the download is higher but the upload is like maybe 1/5.
Of course this will be subjective as it varies from location to location.

If you can choose band, it would be ideal.

P.S. Usually Band 8, the speed I don't think is higher than Band 40. Can't recall if got hit 40 Mbps.

Why M1 prepaid cannot be switched to Starfxxk or sinktel prepaid? It should not be the case.
