To me the gap between Eight and Simba is already so narrow that this FUP thing is going to be the killer for most people. No point having 600GB roaming when you can only use 10% of that (2GBx30 days), Eight is more flexible, cheaper (if you give up 5G, or $0.80 extra for a better 5G) and now better
Simba's $30 for 90 days is the $12 plan for $10 per month, eight equivalent is $14.80 plan with better local 5G.
Simba's wifi calling also works well overseas.
Eight's change of plan is far superior though, you can change plan after the current plan expires, for up to 60 days later. But the invoice eight provide is a joke, Simba is much better at that.
I do hate Simba's renewal several days ahead, and that you can't change plan after day 25 or after plan expires.
2GB per day ? Even when overseas I barely hit 2GB in a week, so 2GB is a decent amount.
Even when used for work with video conferencing I don't hit 2GB a day.
With this comparison, Simba's offering isn't too bad, depending on what price plan & features you are looking at.
