Still mulling over whether to open a new Singlife account now before the waitlist commences tomorrow.

What do you think?

New fintechs coming up so maybe everyone will be more aggressive in courting customer, so I should wait, or onboard now, forgo any potential if any for new customer incentive on the risk that interest rate might drop next year?
If you think about it, they are closing applications probably due to a surge in new customers. Why would they need to give a better incentive in the future when all the regular bank account interest rates are dropping like flies? Unless you are ok to sign up for additional revenue sources from them like their newly launched ILP, then they might dangle more incentives.

it's a managed investment portfolio, similar to all the DBS DigiPortfolio and UOB AMinvest, grab invest etc... someone/a group is making the decision of what makes up each portfolio.

robo means a algorithm is using past data to recommend the portfolio changes when the risk level shifts away from the desired long-term result (too risky/conservative)

I download the app and about to open an account.

On the policy, it says guaranteed crediting rate is 0%.
How come there's no guaranteed interest mentioned? :(

Enjoy 2% p.a.* on your first S$10,000.

*Note that returns are not guaranteed. The Singlife Account is not a bank account or a fixed deposit. It is an insurance savings plan that earns a crediting interest rate, but you can take your money out anytime via FAST transfer or by using your Singlife Visa Debit card. Each person is only entitled to one Singlife Account policy.

It’s an ILP, do we need to say more?

If you enjoy paying 0.25% per QUARTER, on top of whatever management fees the individual funds charge, then go right ahead! Must be nice having spare change to pay for someone else’s pent-
house and bmw.
