Hi all,

Just want to ask if anyone feels scammed by the recent SingSaver new sign up credit card promotions. And what’s your experience about it?
Hey people , sorry to hear your trauma with SingSaver promotion. None of you beats me going through 7 months of waiting for my gift redemption after confirming my eligibility shortly after application. iPhone 14 has already launched 1 month ago & I m still waiting indefinitely for my iPhone 13. Is this a scam promotion? Anyone can help to share?

Have you emailed them? What did they say?

I have applied and gotten approval for a Citibank card via Singsaver. I have to hit a min spend of $500 to get the 'free' gift.

What are the exclusions? I can't find it on the Singsaver and Citibank website. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough.

Can I top up my Grab account (based on the qualify list below) to hit the min spend to get the 'free' gift?

Thanks!

“Qualifying Spend” refers to any retail transactions (including internet purchases) which do not arise from:

  • any Equal Payment Plan (EPP) purchases,
  • refunded/ disputed/ unauthorised/ fraudulent retail purchases,
  • Quick Cash and other instalment loans,
  • Citi PayLite/ Citi Flexibill/ cash advance/ quasi-cash transactions/ balance transfers/ annual card membership fees/ interest/ goods and services taxes,
  • bill payments made using the Eligible Card as a source of funds,
  • late payment fees
  • any other form of service/ miscellaneous fees

Top-up to Grab typically would fall under the MCC for Quasi cash transactions.

This is totally a scam, I registered a Citimiles credit card on January 2023. Waiting patiently since March, April & May 2023. Always keep say wait 90-120 days. The statement says exiting customer also can win that’s why I applied with them now they said only for new customer and gave me a link which is not SingSaver website stating clauses that is beneficial to them. Please be ware of this

They're just slow, and you have to check in with them. If you're calling them a scam because you can't get your instant gratification urge fulfilled, then this ain't it.

i applied in oct22, got my cash reward in 1apr23. that is roughly the waiting time for you to gauge. But in the midst, i did send email enquiry and got replied that i was eligible and just need to wait.

4-6 months is about the norm, I've applied for close to a dozen singsaver offers over the past 8 years, every single one has been successfully paid out or redeemed for.

yup similar experience too. Sometimes they are slow because the card companies take a long time to pay them too. So, be patient 😂

I think from the many responses here already indicate it's not a scam. So the thread title is unfair to Singsaver. Having said that, having to scrutinize the T&C and having to wait up to a year for the rewards is true. If not happy, can always don't apply thru SingSaver, then no rewards no headache :D
