Hah. Guess we're are all f***** then...
Yea, I am short of telling them, they might be all similar in terms of performance, but they are cheaper to subscribe to as well with probably better customer service.

I've used 2 telcos in the last 5 years, and I can tell you both StarHub and Singtel drive me crazy occasionally with the ">3 bar reception but 3G doesn't work well" situation. I've yet to try M1, but after what happened recently, I think I'm sticking to Singtel cos of bundled discounts (30% cos of 4 mobile lines).

Singtel is really hopeless. I cannot imagine 6.9 mil population. Maybe the revival of coin phone.....haha!

i was at toa payoh central yesterday. a friend was buying non camera phone for army. i wanted to do a search for reviews of the phone but singtel 3G refused to load any website. that's what i absolutely HATE about singtel 3G. it always fails me when i need it most. it was only after my friend bought the phone and we left the shop that i latched onto an LTE signal, which of cos worked.

improve my a*s*s.

Singtel's 3G is definitely feeling somewhat speedier for me during off-peak hours in Bukit Panjang area. However, it is still painfully slow during the 6-8 pm timeslot. I find it ridiculous that at Lot1 in the evening, my phone is completely unable to load hardwarezone on safari.

Best, I have no 3G at all in my office (fall back to 2g). So I did the unthinkable. I bought an M1 wireless broadband plan and a cheap router to get my own wifi, which supplies internet access to my Singtel-iphone and ipad. :s8:

Checked with my colleagues, they have excellent M1 3G/LTE speeds inside the building (to add insult to injury, one even had starhub LTE!), so I might hop over to M1 when my contract expires later this year. It's not a perfect solution though, as they too have complained of slow speeds at times and rare outages.

Basket...for the money I am paying every month, still have this kind of service...:(

To be honest, I know each Telco has their own sets of issues. But somehow, the way SingTel handles their customer's feedback is really bad.

My sis is using M1 and when she got poor coverage in her office, she made a complain and no questions asked, M1 gave a bill waiver + rebate and do proper follow up to ensure that the problem is rectified.

I did say, M1 is very very good in listening for feedbacks.

You should exercise your rights, complain to SingTel. You have a strong ground here - since you stay in the office for quite a long period of time each work day.

Singtel is u can see 3G signal, even full bar but u can't load even a FB page, NOTHING, even in CBD area. As for feedback, what feedback are they heeding to?

Tried once when i first got my iphone. Think all they said were "try restarting your phone", that they would try something in their side, then said they would have to take in my phone for testing for a week, and finally that there was nothing they could do, but "they are working on it". :(

Similar to my case, but I am not using an iPhone.

They suggested is my SIM/phone which is causing fault. Suggest that I replace the SIM, monitor while they reset my line at their end.

Months on, no improvements for my case - in fact seems like I am facing more issues. In September 2012, they also suggested that my issue of poor capacity/missed calls/poor reception is due to their network enhancement from 3G -> 4G.

Singtel 3G is really bad at CCK area. Less than 1 bar or keep dropping. I tried M1 data card no problem.

So far I tried all 3 telcos. During peak, m1 seems to be better. Singtel maybe better at ulu areas but seriously who cares

reception/data speed and coverage depends on the location, cannot judge which is better in one location solely..

If one location is bad, do report on the singtel app so that at least they can monitor the situation and enhanced the coverage.

I reported non-existent 4G coverage at NUS utown before, and they took 3 months to provision the service. Presumably it involves licensing with building management, infrastructure laying with facility management etc in order to install the equipment in the building..

Telco blind spot is subjective lor
So u need to test all telco see which one suits u more

Like location u hang out or home or work place and even the transportation u take too

If u sure m1 do a better job why not consider jump ship over too when your contract up

This is why I do when I jump from m1 to singtel as wheee I usually work or home or play and transport on m1 is pretty weak

How with sim only plan even easier. M1 no good? But singtel sim card & test for a few months. Your m1 subscription rugi during that period too bad.

If u find singtel better then once your m1 plan expire, convert your sim only to whatever singtel contract. If u prefer m1 still, then cancel the singtel one since no contract.

Singtel 3G is really bad at CCK area (Eg near regent secondary school and also yew tee point). Less than 1 bar or keep dropping. Problems even using dash at NTUC yew tee point. I tried M1 data card/wifi no problem. You guys think Singtel will do anything if we inform them our issues? Will just changed to prepaid card soon.

Ya this is what I do
I got m1 and hub data sim and I only take up sim only Singtel in the end I pick Singtel as my choice as most of my stuffs I do and transportation hub cmi and m1 is decent but on NEL line I need to fall back to 3G to use sometime 3G also lag so my choice is Singtel

Singtel wise I recall some location west is weak even m1 at jurong is damm weak so depend on the location

Best Is test yourself
