Yes you can, different wireless network, cannot form a mesh.

One wireless network: new TP-Link WiFi 7 router
Another wireless network: existing SingTel Mesh Extenders
oh wow, i didnt know they can be used. Is there a guide or anything? Or is it just plug and play only? I only have one wireless network set up. The singtel guy who helped did the setup told me i can just throw the old equipment after one week. LOL.

IMHO.
That is why I am hesitant to change my household Singtel 500Mbps. The analog telephone is included. The price is less than your $49.61. So now I am wondering if there is a faster speed plan with the same analog telephone included. 🤔
I'm also in 500Mbps plan & also using analog telephone. I remember when I switched from adsl to fiber last time, Singtel waived off the subscription fee if u choose to stay with analog line (just pay for talk time). It is like a bonus so I believe even if u change to other plan, analog line will remained free as long u stay with Singtel. Can reconfirm with the staff if in doubt.

Those useless things would anyway need to be removed by you yourself. SingTel uses this kind of things to earn more money. So for SingTel, removing those useless items will actually increase the subscription price, not reducing.

As for the router bundle, they will want to bundle the basic router, as per SingTel tradition and also for the major customer base of SingTel.

What is the recontract offer you get from SingTel?

Thanks for the insights. I have no reference about it lbut don't think it was ADSL as my place have cable points. Nevertheless, I will check it out.

I got a "free" Nokia ONR, can I use it as a normal router?

You mean the lousy Nokia Beacon 1 or Beacon 2 from StarHub?

Throw the Nokia Beacon 1 away.

Nokia Beacon 2 can not be used as a router for Singtel ONT users (as you are using legacy Singtel 500 Mbps plan, so I assume you are using an ONT) as it does not support SingTel VLAN profile. But it can be used as an AP after your router.

Singtel ONT -- Singtel issued router or your own router with VLAN profile -- Nokia Beacon 2 in AP mode.

I see. So you already use a GPON ONR, not ONT.

That Nokia ONR is the wired router.

The SingTel WiFi 6 Mesh Extender is not even a router, just an AP or mesh node. It can not function as a router.

Good move. It is anyway better than SingTel offering.

Two units of ZenWiFi BT10 are worth more than S$504 (M1 bundle price for 10 Gbps plan without router, resale value should be higher at about S$600 or more), so your effective price is at about S$27 (considering S$504) or S$23 (considering S$600) per month for 6Gbps plan without router.

Singtel still holds the largest customer base in Singapore. Even though many providers now offer cheaper plans and more free gifts, Singtel remains the market leader. However, they often ignore customer requests or charge monthly fees for services that may create extra costs, such as hiring more customer service staffs to respond, or to reset devices and restore services etc.

StarHub is the one that is really struggling, as it is losing more customers. Because of this, they are changing and becoming more willing to listen to customers. Maybe one day Singtel will drop to second or third place, and then they might start learning how to listen.

That is old data from SIMBA.

Starhub (including MR and eight, but eight is new) is now #1 in Consumer Fibre Internet Market, taking over Singtel's #1 position. Starhub is struggling in the mobile market and it will lose its #2 position once the merger of SIMBA and M1 got the approval and complete later. But for Consumer Fibre Broadband, it will still hold #1 postion as SIMBA has negligible market share in the Fibre Broadband market.

Q3 2025 (eight home internet did not exist then).

It is normal to get the error message. Your submission is okay. Wait for the email from Singtel to see if they accept your order or not.

Previous reference -- apparently Singtel website has some issues for the invalid link error after submission.

But the submission itself is working and in the end user gets the offer in the end.

YMMV. Singtel may accept your order or reject your order.

The link is valid but after submitted
