I'm currently on the $15.28 SO plan which contract will end on 4th September 2026.
If i were to port to Singtel Hi! $15 postpaid plan, can i do it now?
Or do i need to wait until 4th September 2026 then can only do the porting since SO plan comes with 12 months contract.
Appreciate your advice.
Thanks.

They will charge you early termination fees for the remaining months. In my case, which is one month only as I ported out a month before the end of the contract.

Eg as mention

Port out after 5 Aug or Initiating port in to the new telco on 4 Sept or port out on 5 Sept, which is better?

Yeah but I not sure if Singtel Hi follow gomo tactics force user to up from 18.xx to 19.xx and say congrats you are upgraded to the better plan
IMHO.
Got monthly recurring, 30-days plans, 90-days plans and 1-year plans.
In a way it is already happening because there don't seem to be 4G plan anymore.

Connected to AIS while in Bangkok, I always use Telegram as a connection guide.

There were many times when I opened Telegram, it will either be Connecting or Updating, less than a minute, be it in the open space, crowded area or underground.

Yup, ported in June if not wrong.
Previously your using what telco? If I am not wrong those on Singtel or M1 network should not have much issues with supported roaming partners as they are all consider the best Liao in their countries. Even if you apply the tourist data sim for their local data should consider similar experience beside enabling the roaming function.

I don't have the data point, first time using supported roaming partner.

As for tourist data SIMs, I don't remember having connecting/updating occurrences.

Shall monitor for my Japan trip in October.

Can I check those on Singtel Hi postpaid plan does this features of transfer eSIM from Phone A to Phone B still work based on the URL link below?

https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/mobile-postpaid/esim/change-to-request-new-esim
Singtel Hi postpaid eSIM QR code can be re-used 3 times (or thereabout) for installation in new phones; have to first delete eSIM profile from old phone before activating in new phone... Then need to request for a new eSIM QR code (unlimited times) from the Hi app. Free no charge.

This is good information thank you, at least it's alot better than Maxx where I called the agent and they come out with a few solution ... which either have a spare Maxx line to have a workaround verification or to go service center with ID... ( both still need to pay for esim replacement )

if only 4G plan can only receive 4G network and 4G roaming network.

unless on 5G plan can only receive 4G & 5G network and 4G & 5G roaming network.
