For me I use eSIM for Singtel hi! with online sign-up.

Last time SIngtel hi! 4G plan was porting from CUniq 4G. I wanted to try out my eSIM adapter (which may only support 4G) at that time.
M1 Maxx S$10 5G (online, physical SIM) --> Cuniq S$9.9 4G (online, physical SIM) --> Singtel hi! S$10 4G plan (online, eSIM) --> terminated

This time my wife will use it and her iPhone 14 has only single SIM Card so need to use eSIM.
Zym S$10.1 4G with free 180 days 5G trial (physical shop, physical SIM) --> Singtel hi! S$13 5G (online, eSIM).

If I were to use it, I will carry out the porting at physical shop. The physical shop I signed up for Zym (HELLO STATION @ JURONG POINT, #03-86) also provide service for Singtel hi!, along with Maxx, CMLink and eight. The other physical shop I signed up for SIMBA and CL 5G free trial (Boon Lay Bus Interchange Wall Cabinet C) also provides service for Singtel hi!, along with eight, SIMBA and CL.

Is there a fee?

Yes easy and free for the Singtel Hi Sim only plans, simply disable the e-sim on your old phone and scan the QR code on the new phone to complete the transfer which is near instantaneous.

Though I'm not sure the process if the old phone is lost or is unable to power on because I tried to scan the QR code without disabling the e-sim on the old phone first and the process fail. Perhaps for this instance, we'd have to contact Tech support which fortunately is also easy since they offer live chat with their agents unlike other service providers like Eight, Zym etc.

What happen if you lost the phone, unable to remove the lost phone eSim profile ?
Then login to Hi app via new phone and select request for new eSIM. Since phone lost, either physical SIM or eSIM as new request likely will incurred some replacement charges.

Correct.. once new eSIM is requested. The old eSIM profile will automatically void. Charges may applied.

@xiaofan Confusing SingTel, so it’s similar to Hi! Postpaid in plan but auto renew SingTel prepaid and Prepaid Hi! App.

Enjoy auto top-ups every 30 days with our NEW prepaid monthly plans. Complete an easy one-time sign-up on hi!App now.

Correct.
1) Should be able to receive free incoming roaming SMS.
2) No incoming/outgoing roaming voice call function. No outgoing roaming SMS.

Starhub latest Prepaid plans (postpaid as per IMDA classification) have roaming voice call and roaming outgoing SMS capability. Same for Starhub's more expensive 5G SIM Only plans (5G Unlimited+ and 5G Platinum plans).

eight and SIMBA have roaming voice call capability but cannot send outgoing roaming SMS.

Yes, that is correct. Singtel hi! S$15 Postpaid plan (or S$13 for port-in promotion) and Prepaid S$15 SIM as well as Prepaid S$15 monthly plan have the same local/roaming/IDD bundle.

Now SingTel hi! postpaid plans also have 180 days SIM Card validity, pretty similar to the S$15 Prepaid SIM.

I believe both are managed by the SingTel Prepaid team.

Two products line offering the same plan, weird. They should have merge it. Prepaid not very relevant in today's market with recurring cheap Senior plan and No contract SIM ONLY plan getting so much cheaper.

Tourists either eSIM purchase via their own online store like Shopee ICC, NPN equivalent in their country or Changi Airport get those tourist SIM plan.

Indeed.

But then Singtel still has a sizable subscribers of Singtel Prepaid users, including foreigner workers, from the queues I saw at the Singtel 5G+ Prepaid SIM Card roadshows.
