eh i thought u did use singtel hi! ? did i miss something

IMHO.
I am using Singtel Hi but I did not sign up for it - ported over from Heya.
Start already hiccups - suppose to give $2 promo codes, first few ok, then it stopped.
By the time I got it, already missed one cycle.
Then came this change of PSIM. Heya PSIM is since 2022. When I bought their 5G+ plan last month , I got a hunch that the PSIM cannot support 5G+ SA and true enough, connected to 5G NSA, I have been spending effort to get the PSIM changed. I believe got ex-Heya users happily connecting to 5G NSA and 4G.

Fast forward since last week, I believe they have been shutting down 5G NSA towers - you get only 4G.
Same as Zym Roam Plus perpetual 5G NSA - get 4G only.

There has been conversation about NSA shutting down thus ST users are getting 4g+ more often.

i prompted in all the various AI tools, specifically saying Simba local network is not reliable ( based on what friends say, some even cant get signals when at home!).....AI recommended Singtel Hi, Zym mobile, Vivifi, Gomo, based on adequate but more Asia locations for roaming, ok local network etc.

What's the general feedback about Singtel Hi? have throttling i guess? or no, since it is just prepaid under Singtel?

customer service is via app? chatbot? email only?

are there any long time users that can share more of your experience with the Singtel Hi brand ?

IMHO.
For me, until this point in time, ZERO customer service.
My issue is change of PSIM. Livechat will push to Singtel Hi retailers like a broken record which can't help me. In the App, only can request ESIM and not PSIM. Now pending their help to liaise with a retailer who can help me.

Before yesterday, I have two PSIM that connects to NR SA. Now left one PSIM. After tomorrow, if Singtel HI replaced the PSIM, it is no longer important if 5G NSA shut down.

Somehow my 5G connection isn’t showing up even when I am at an open area.. any issues with SingTel Hi lately ?

Works the same for iPhone too.. Just change the apn to hicard. The rest just leave it.
Pretty much no issues for 4days driving around Malaysia.
The only strange problem is you can only connect to maxis. Digi and celcom wasn’t able to register. Also most of the time it’s 4G. 5G NSA is spotty, that’s due to Malaysia infrastructure. Nothing to with SingTel.
I just forced to 4G all times for all my 3 devices(2 android 1 iPhone).

Ohh. SingTel finally sort out the roaming sms to HI instead of heya!

Hi, anybody tried to do transfer of ownership on this plan before? Thinking to purchase a plan first for a foreign friend who might potentially convert to long term student after visiting as a tourist

If cannot then might consider asking him to buy eight plan and convert later ..

hi! Plan does not support these features:
• Roaming calls/SMS services while overseas
• Outgoing local calls to 1900 numbers
• Incoming and outgoing video calling
• Incoming and outgoing MMS
• Outgoing Global SMS
• Transfer of ownership

Nothing special. Just enable roaming on the phone.

My wife is using SingTel hi! S$13 5G plan as the main roaming provider in Guangzhou China now and so far so good (iPhone 14, eSIM, main SIM is SingTel S$15.28 plan with roaming disabled). Only 4G connections with China Mobile or China Unicom.

She has another eight mobile S$8 4G line as a backup for roaming as well (Poco X6 Pro). Same, only 4G connections to either China Unicom or China Telecom.

Today I have the most unpleasant exp with hi.

Plan was due for renewal today but data was cut off. Went to the app and ask me to purchase a new plan despite on recurring payment. LL buy den all my roll over gone. This ** hi. CS has to escalate to back end and check

Weird, I sent my Eight to China but Shanghai, no issue.
Singtel Sim Only there also no issue.

No issues with roaming, just say no 5G connections when roaming, no matter eight 4G or Singtel hi! 5G.

But 4G connections are good enough for roaming.
