There is usually confusion when term "mio box" is referenced. Some use the term for the integrated modem/router while some use the same term for the set-top box?

The set-top box need to be returned, together with its remote control and power adaptor. It has only one power adaptor, the one you plug to the set-top box at one end and the other end to the power socket. I think it also come with a cable to plug to your tv.

The Motorola sets consist of the power brick AND the cord.
If you separate the above, it is 4 items you must return.

Depends on the nature of your miotv. If it was part of a bundle, you will be informed to return to Hello Shop ( Comcenter, Causeway Point or Tampines).
If it is a standalone, you will be informed to return to Singpost ( Woodlands, Killiney, Jurong point or Singapore Post centre at Paya Lebar). Best to call 1688 to clarify first.

Hi,

I've returned the set to SingTel yesterday.

Called 1688 on 3 separate occasions, was advised differently where to drop the equipment. The CSO directed me to Tampines, Woodlands or ComCentre Post Office, which I double-confirmed with him.

Went down to Tampines, wah long queue. When it was finally my turn after a long wait, I was told that Tampines doesn't do equipment return. Was re-directed to Paya Lebar instead.

LLST, went down to Paya Lebar. Equipment returned successfully.

Items required:
  1. Set-top box
  2. Power adapter
  3. Remote control
  4. Latest MIO TV bill

The ethernet cable and HDMI cable that came with the set was mine to keep.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

When we return at counter, do they then terminate there, or they terminate on the phone first. Is there then much checking and processing or time wasted at the counter?

Yes, you can. Equipment return is only available at SingPost. I requested to return to a Hello! Shop but I was redirected to SingPost offices.

I have no idea. I suggest you terminate over the phone before going down for equipment return, since its SingPost staff and not SingTel staff. My queue was relatively fast, but the staff had to scan all the equipment and do file them into the system which took some time.

Hope it helps!

I'm curious, anybody still has the mio tv contract in black and white or something. Is it written anywhere on it that we have to return everything including the cable to those specific locations? Cannot just dump them at the doorstep of their HELLO shops?

You will need to return all necessary equipment (STB + power adapter + remote control) to fulfil the termination otherwise an equipment penalty will apply.

You may proceed to any of the following locations to terminate mio TV service: Woodlands Centre Post Office, Killiney Road Post Office, Jurong Point Post Office, Singapore Post Center (Eunos).

Do note that the post offices are just a collection point for the STBs, you will still need to call the mio hotline at 1688 to terminate.

Terminate Mio bundle

What is STD? Does it include the wireless router?

How do you all terminate Singtel Mio bundle?

For me, I call 1688 (one month in advance) to terminate. The operator said cannot take down my request, must terminate on the actual last day of contract.

Hence, I call 1688 one month later (last day of contract). The operator said need 7 working day to process. And it will terminate on 7 working days later. And I must return the set, cable, controller on the day which it terminate (20 Sept 2013).

I said I want to return before this date. She raise her voice and keep repeat No. Why I cannot return earlier? Why I cannot terminate by give one month notice?
