by default, they only cater to apple sets. but they do accept. for easier exchange, best is go comcentre if its singtel set

Guess I'll go Comcentre then. Btw, if I go down today and get an exchange, the set will come with 4.3.4?

Oh ya. When you guys bring your phones for servicing/replacement, besides backing up, do you do a factory reset? Was wondering whether I should clear off everythng before passing to them.

Oh, and if I do a factory reset (which I assume can only done through the PC), I can still do a restore after that, right?

Just got my iPhone replaced yesterday. Surprisingly not really much testing done. Was still worried that cos my that Home button problem doesn't occur all the time so they'd refuse to replace. Anyway, it came with 4.3.3. And hopefully my 2 days left of warranty's still enough for me for my AppleCare registration to go through.

Can anyone answer this? Do I need to restore factory settings at home or can it be done when I am at the comcentre?

You can do it anytime on your phone. Just go to General>Reset>Erase All Contents and Settings.

Be sure to backup though in case you need to restore.

Hi there,

I don't think you are allowed as I asked them when I changed my set on 9 Aug 11. White set will only replace with white set and vice versa.

Hi there,

As far as I'm concerned, for all SingTel subscribers, the only place to exchange is at Comm centre at Exter Rd

Ver wise, should be at least 4.3.3 or 4.3.5. My set is 4.3.3 but I upgraded to 4.3.5 when I done my restore via itune. In fact, may I know any fantastic features? Tks

Haha, you mean new features in 4.3.5? I don't see the difference. Just that 4.3.4 and 4.3.5 can't do unthethered jailbreak.

Does SingTel offer immediate 1 for 1 iphone replacement?

Hello,

May I know if singtel does the 1 for 1 exchange of faulty iphones on the same day of visit to the comcentre? Something like what they do with bb?

Or do u have to wait a few days for them to diagnose the problem like when u send it to the apple servicing centre.

Thanks!

Nope, no additional feature, rather security fixes: 4.3.3 to close the PDF exploit (same one used by JBME3.0) and 4.3.5 on some SSL fix.
