Set aside Second Timer Units = (176*5%)= 8.8(round off 9 units)
Second Timer applicants = (176*5% )*10.8 = 95

base on the calc.. there is alot ppl in the 2nd timer apply is 10X time but as the 1st timer is under subscribe do not know if they pass down the reminder to the 2nd timer or not, but base the set side for 2nd timer at 5% is only 9 units..

Hey guys have a query for the experts here. I applied for a 3rm in Whampoa/Kallang as a 2nd timer. Total flats available 176, total application received 170.

Would like to check, since the application received is less than available flats, I should get a good chance of getting a queue no even if I am 2nd timer? TIA

Hi, I also put a ballot for kallang Whampoa as I stay here, although for 4 rooms. IMO and the fact I live 600m from tenteram peak, I think it is a value for money project. As a 2nd timer, I think you will get a lower floor, but like I said it, if you want to live outside the city. You are 3 bus stops from toa payoh central, and going bus stop is a 5 min walk, coming back is 10 min.the side with open field is supposedly the best, but sooner or later they will build something there, so expect inconvenience in the near future if on that side. Facing CTE no need to say and so the best will be inside facing units or those facing opp the road (relatively new cluster of flats).

You are kinda far from any amenities (ntuc, hawker center, etc) are like 10 min walk. But you are near the 2 most well connected expressways in singapore, so if you drive or ride, a lot of ease (although getting on them may take sometime as need to go via balestier Rd.

Overall a good buyer if you are not fussy about surrounding amenities. Can save some money by buying here.

If all the first timer wants higher level.
Than lower level will be the balance for the rest of the people invited for selection lor
That includes the second timers.

Generally speaking it will still be up to each individual.
Some like low level, some like high level
Some jus want a roof over their head, low level they still take

The estate that i selected for Nov SBF starting selection from tomorrow onwards, my number is beyond the supply.
Really wonder how will the drop out rate be like.
Will i stand a chance to get my desire unit

Not all the time 2nd timer get low floor, can go to hdb to see what is left for sob Nov 2015, similar pattern should emerge this time.

If got lots of low floors, then usually (not always, depends on ppl suka-suka) got low floors left towards the end. Also I notice alot of malay and indian quota left, so most likely alot of Chinese chong first then got no more.

For NOV SOBF if all 19 units are selected before my turn, i'll still keep my first timer status.
Try to nego if all are repossessed flats left and they wanna take away my first timer (x1)

In the end it is up to hdb. Last SoBF exercise in Nov 2015, they said will announce in Feb, ended up around 24 Feb. Also if same like last exercise, not everyone go first, they go estate by estate, first mature, then non-mature. Then in each category in alphabetical order, eg. Amk, bedok, etc. If follow same pattern, then Yishun choosing will start in Oct or Nov.
