Thanks for helping. Tried resetting network. Helped a while but wifi dropping came back.

Do you guys have General / Background App Refresh turned on or off? Seems like no more Wifi dropping problem when on. Not sure. Still observing. I may be wrong.

i had my background refresh off. i think urs is isolate case. i have nv experience that before

I am expecting wifi issues to be solved by 8.1. But it isn't. Still dropping wifi signal. Once dropped, I have to off and on again.

I am giving up on apple. IP6, 64GB, Silver. Going up lorry.

might be router issue. I experienced very slow connection to my mobile games on wifi but not on 4G.

for wifi, security use : WPA (don't use WPA2)

after that try reset networking setting and see if it helps =:p

Router issue? May be.

But why dont use WPA2? :s11: WPA2 is more secured and offer better network protection. True?

I read in Apple Community Forum that turning Handoff OFF does solve the wifi problem for some, why not give it a try.

WPA2 has slow connectivity issues to ios 8. When I switched from WPA2 to WPA, it works like a charm. Up to you to consider this small risk. :s12:

after update, i can't activate my iPhone cellular calls.

keep having the error msg:
FaceTime and iCloud must be signed in to the same Apple ID to use iPhone Cellular Calls.

But the fact is, i signed both with the same apple ID.

Mini Review/update after 1 day usage of 8.1 on my 5S:

1) Generally WiFi has lower lantency, smoother and faster for surfing safari, FB apps etc.
2) Sending message from LINE and FB Messenger app on WiFi seems ok for now.
3) Whatsapp sending speed on WiFi still horrendous albeit slightly improved.
4) Cellular 4G no issues for me. Still blazing fast on sinktel.

I'll still take 7.1.2 anytime. For those still on this version, recommend you to stick to it first.
For those with 8.0 and 8.02, recommend you to update to 8.1
