Solo Backpacking Trip

I was wondering. Since you are going for such trips alone, how do you keep your money? You travel from one place to another. Do you bring cash with you all the time? Or do you put some money in the china banks and withdraw it? But for both cases, they are dangerous. For the former, aren't you worry about getting robbed? For the latter, not all banks are found in all of China. Not sure if their currency are the same either in different states of China.

Lastly, aren't you worry about getting raped since you are a girl?

5 weeks a bit short though. You spend bulk of those in buses, trains and etc, you rarely have the chance to catch your breath! 5 months will be better. Or 5 years! It's never enough. LOL.

5 weeks is alright. I know people who have done it in 2 weeks. Some places don't really deserve a longer stay!

I'm spending more time in Russia cos I go to China pretty often! I don't think I'll return to Russia anytime soon or ever again! It's a lovely place but there are other places I would like to experience!

China ATMs accepts Maestro and Cirrus ATM cards.

Not sure about Russia though. Haven't been there before.

By the way, how much is accomodation（hostel) and food in Russia?

Yup! Doing this alone! China ain't that bad cos I can speak Mandarin. It's not the first time I went to China alone. China is always amazing!

I was scared when I arrived in Mongolia! But I'm really lucky! I met people on the train who could either speak Mandarin or English and Mongolian or Russian so I had no problems on the trains and border crossings!

Mongolia was tough and rough for me and that kinda made me really apprehensive about Russia. But day 02 in Russia, I'm beginning to feel more comfortable! Russia is not as scary as I thought!

Oh! I won't be alone after Russia!

solo trips are so fun and carefree, you just have to take control of the situation very well to avoid unfortunate events..

That's true but you would never know who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. I mean you can randomly chat up with strangers but how would you know if they are providing the correct information or not? And since you are not familar in the country, you would not know if they are telling you the correct thing.

Got one experience in Thailand where this lady seems so good and we thought that she is genuinely trying to tell us where to go since we lost our way. In the end, she actually led u to a tour agency and this tour agency thought we are trying to look for places to visit.

Why cannot find frens with similar minded people to go with u?

Tiongland is definitey beautiful, I've been there many times. But not really a backpacking worthy.

There are always people like u who thinking backpacking alone is adventurous, it's fun and good to make frens with strangers and stuff. Yah, let's see u say that when something happens to u.
