Really admire TS's guts as all the Singaporean girls I've talked to, never dare to venture out of Singapore to backpack alone.

Had a lot of fun the last time I backpacked after leaving my job. Next Friday will be flying to Germany to do a solo bicycle tour for 3 weeks. Really look forward to it.

I flew Singapore to Tianjin on Scoot. Took the high speed train to Beijing. Same day/night, took the overnight train to Datong. Stayed for a day. Took the day traim (5 hours) to Hohhot. Stayed for 3 days. Took the overnight train from Hohhot to Erlian (border town). Took the overnight train to Ulaan Baatar (Mongolia). Then took a 24 hours train to Irkutsk (Russia). Going to Olhkon Island for 3 days. Then 3 days train to Moscow. Then overnight train to St. Petersburg. After that not sure!

That's true but you would never know who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. I mean you can randomly chat up with strangers but how would you know if they are providing the correct information or not? And since you are not familar in the country, you would not know if they are telling you the correct thing.

Got one experience in Thailand where this lady seems so good and we thought that she is genuinely trying to tell us where to go since we lost our way. In the end, she actually led u to a tour agency and this tour agency thought we are trying to look for places to visit.

If one is negative in life, he/she will not get anywhere!

Have faith in people.

I've met really nice people along the way. One Czech guy offered his place when I mentioned that I'm planning to go to.Prague. The French couple I met this morning (at the hostel) walked with me to the train station and helped me buy the train ticket to Moscow. We walked around the city together with 3 other French students and a Japanese guy.

Now I'm chatting with a guy from Switzerland and a Russian guy.

Open your mind and you will experience alot more good things in life. If **** happens, just clean up and move on. Don't mop over it.

Can always use a moneybelt.

China ATMs accepts Maestro and Cirrus ATM cards.

Not sure about Russia though. Haven't been there before.

By the way, how much is accomodation（hostel) and food in Russia?

I'm paying RUB600 - RUB900 for a dorm space in the hostels.

Yup, currently in Irkutsk, Russia. After Russia most likely Germany. Last stop will be Frankfurt.
