I think it depends on your ear size. I just used them for my flight. Insulation and noise cancellation felt the same to me. Used them on a bus before. Same.

But that is my opinion and my set.

Been wanting to hoot one of these, but the price has been always a problem. zzz. Then recently came across these refurbished set.

Just get it already. The noise cancellation is simply amazing.

Just arrived from Amazon. Ordered on 15th Feb.
Do take note, mine is XM2.

Left is stock, Right is Dekoni Audio Suede Material.
They are bigger & deeper.

Have not thoroughly tested, so my first impression when i put it on, is..... Wow!! Can feel the diff liao.

First 10min of use, dont feel uncomfortable vs the original Sony cups. I will feel a bit uncomfortable with the stock cups just after 5-10min. Will have to adjust & let some air in. after an hour, will definitely need to wipe my ears & the cups. With these new cups, dont feel the need yet.

As for passive sound canceling, so far, i dont feel any differences. I only tested indoor.

Yeah I do notice a bit. And encountered some intermittent cut off of connection.

I stopped mine at version 2.0.0.

Reading all the 4.1.1 horror stories, i think i better not

edit: just realised the app updated mine without asking me! damn it.. the anc really gotten worse

How can it be?

The app on my phone has a More Info bar which expands to show details of the new firmware. I clicked "Later" button after reading it so it doesn't update.
Maybe you clicked the "OK" button?

Yeah lor, the anc not as good now. And the app causing intermittent beeps, sometimes even turning off the NC. Now I uninstall the app. Solved the beeps issue but the anc not as good. Bass also softer.
